:-D He confuses my fangirl mind like that. I love him but then he does something to hurt another favorite and my brain begins to go die... wait no.... don't die but stop.... :-D
I already had a plotbunny in which Thor was pregnant by Loki when he was exiled to earth in "Thor" (most likely finding out after the movie) and then in Avengers he's constantly battling with wondering if he should tell Loki (would he come back knowing that?), wondering what the others would think and trying to come to grips with all the things Loki is doing... oh the angst.
Then again - what a homecoming for Loki to a trial, a child and everything else he's been trying to deny!
