this is way too long... [13 Nov 2008|01:23am] Hey Tegesta! Julianne Hough PB coming in. I'd like to introduce Isabell Gadsby, an 18 year old senior who is simultaneously new and native to Tegesta. Isabell was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia by her mother who was a complete and total southern belle -- in a bad way. Isabell's father, divorced from her mother since Isabell was four, lived in Key West, Florida. Isabell spent her school years living with her mom and her holidays and summers living with her dad and his life partner. For two years, in 6th and 7th grade, Isabell attended middle school in Tegesta, but while she loved it her mother hated it and called her back. Tegesta left quite an impression on Isabell and when it came time for her senior year, she begged to go attend high school in Tegesta and to live with her dad. Her wish was granted and here she is. Personality wise, Isabell is kind of naughty. She's mischievous and daring in the way that she'll try anything twice. Isabell often finds herself dragging along people into her hare-brained schemes which never end as she had expected. She's big on video games that involve sports or music, but pop in Halo into the console and she'll be asleep in four minutes flat. She's a lazy mofo and chooses to not really get involved in sports unless it's track, and she's only part of a few organizations such as GSA, debate team, and the mathletes. Isabell is really stubborn and hot-headed, which isn't the best combination in a woman, but she tries her best to tone herself down. Random things about her is that she's been playing piano since she was five and she's currently learning how to surf, but doing miserably. I should have her schedule up soon, so in the least maybe she has some classes in common with your character. That being said I would love any lines! 13 comments|post comment

[13 Nov 2008|01:07pm] okay, i know i just posted in here a few days ago, but i took notice that there are a few new characters coming into tegesta like either right now or at the beginning of the semester, and i just wanted everyone in general to know a few things about cynric here. ALWAYS : so, this is cynric, but he goes by cyn because he thinks it sounds badass. he's 17 and a senior. he's been going to tegesta high all four years with his bffl's (marilon, dalton, xor, lorenz, and adalyn - yes, he's one of the original six). they've been friends since first grade and are inseparable! ice hockey is a really big thing for him since he had a scholarship going for... somewhere that i haven't decided yet, maybe canada. him and darin have always been like the bash brothers (skip to 4:14) from d2/d3: mighty ducks when it comes to ice hockey. it's the only thing that cyn has ever taken really seriously in his life. his been captain all past three years on the team (unforunately, he's unable to play this year). cyn's a live-in-the-moment kind of guy and just goes with the flow. if he thinks of something fun and exciting to do, he'll do it right then and there. he's pretty laid back, too, and easy to talk to. oh, ashdene and him are maternal cousins. BEFORE : now for those character's whom have been at tegesta since freshman year or came in last year or whatever. he loved the ladies, but because of his parents divorce, he couldn't stay in a relationship for too long (going through 7-10 a year; it's the one thing he questions himself on, but never ever admits it - it's all subconscious). charllotte, kmartin, lettie, noleigh, and ware are some of them, but there's obviously a lot more (if you want that storyline, let me know!). basically, he's been looking for miss perfect and never realized she's been in front of him all along. only his really close friends know who it is, though. as for his personality. cynric was known for his pothead, drinking, and partying ways. i was surfing youtube last night for random videos of jackson rathbone and found this. it sums cyn up pretty damn well if you ask me. i laughed histarically when i watched it. the only difference is that cyn drinks (drank?). basically, cyn was high 24/7 almost but rather functional. during school, after school, before school, in his sleep, etc. except... the fucker is somehow really, really smart. he has always gotten a's and b's - never c's. photographic memory or some shit. whomever has had a class with him knows he's never been one to take notes though and always made random, funny, high comments. the teachers at tegesta have always been impressed with his grades since it doesn't equal with his behavior (they never knew he was high either because they never saw him sober). his teachers even put him on the debate team last year and this (but he had to drop out) because of talking ways. come the beginning of this year though, cyn found out about his scholarship for ice hockey and his dad put a lot of pressure on him to boost his grades to straight a's. along with that, ware moved and it hit something deep inside cyn that he hasn't really told anyone about yet. these two things are what led him to start using speed instead of coke. eventually he quit everything else all together and started doing speed hardcore. his personality did a huge 180, and cynric basically became this huge asshole and pulled away from everyone. his best friends eventually shipped him off to rehab in the middle of september. NOW : phew! so now cynric is currently at promises treatment center in malibu, california and will be remaining there until the end of the year/beginning of the next semester. basically what the former students at tegesta need to know is that when cyn comes back is obviously not gonna be the same. they've detoxed him from everything. gasp! he no longer smokes pot, so this will be a huge major change that his casual friends and people who notice him will be like wtf?! about. his new vice is cigarettes, though. as for his "womanizer" ways, those are out the door, too. he's still a really fun-loving guy and whatnot, just... normal now, i guess? haha. he's still pretty smart and keeping up with all his studies in rehab. so to the new students, they may or may not have heard rumors, so have them believe whatever! lol. so, i think that's about it. i would still love storylines if anyone has any ideas. he'll be on tennis and track&field in the spring, was part of the debate team at the beginning of the year before getting shipped off, and is in nhs, was captain for ice hockey and co-captain for the swim team, but clearly isn't participating in those anymore since he's not at school at the moment. omfg, that was long, i'm so sorry, but i just wanted everyone to get the feel for him and how things have changed. :[ so yeah, storylines and whatnot. i'm going to go hide in a hole now. 61 comments|post comment

lemme see if i can make this short... [13 Nov 2008|10:56pm] This here is Paxton Moreno but he won't reply unless you call him Pax and make some sort of silly/obscene hand gesture. He's a European/US/Everything History teacher (who's 35 and will never say it out loud) but... he doesn't like that title. He'll most likely inform all of his students that he wants to be called Guy or Hey You because it brings him back to a favorite time in his childhood. He's been at Tegesta since 2003, when he barged into his first class rambling about how he argued with a cashier about Christopher Columbus having not discovered anything unless they counted his realization that he was navigationally challenged (I made that word up). He's that teacher: the one who treats all of his students like equals, makes jokes in class and generally tries to have a good time. He very rarely drones, not unless speaking about a topic he could really care less about but he was forced to teach. This is rare but when it happens, you can almost always predict a movie. Think along the lines of The Patriot and National Treasure. Uh, let's see... Pax doesn't really like chaos. Chaos =/= fun to him. He regulates from time to time when things get out of hand but he can usually run a smooth class. He hates being the bad guy and urges everyone to try their hardest not to make him go there because when he does he acts like General Paxton more than Paxton the Gentle. He's obsessed with 80s culture and will tend to incorporate it into his lessons. He doesn't write down a lot of notes but he's huge on diagrams. He likes to let his students write their own notes based on the things he says and almost always uses objects in his lessons, even if they have nothing to do with them (e.g. learning about Napoleon? let's eat Napoleons). Pax is also the coach for the cross country team. He's more serious about this than classes, however, because he has this... urge to win. He doesn't go overboard or insane but he likes to win from time to time. I'm sure he's got his favorite students here and there, too, even though he'd never admit to it and he'd probably get along with some of the other teachers. I know some of them might find him utterly annoying, even if he isn't trying to be. Basically, he's a man who absolutely adores his job. It's his goal in life to make everyone love history as much as he does and, since he knows this will never happen, he plans on living forever. ... this is long... Ah well. [13 Nov 2008|11:09pm] alright, everyone, this is zooey bayles and she is a senior at tegesta. she's a huge dork and gets excited over homework and tests and just loves studying and keeping herself busy. zooey loves vintage and she dresses in all vintage clothing. she claims to love the 40's-60's (except for the fact that women were not equal to men, of course.) and is also a fan of the old films from back then. she loves to read and she will often go find a nice quiet place to do so and she prefers novels to the company of most people. she can be a little argumentative and has a fairly strong personality and she has always made it clear that she has her own opinion and she's always going to share it. she's not exactly a bitch though and she is always willing to listen to someone else's opinion and have a fair debate with them. people tend to tease her because she acts different than most seventeen year old girls but she just brushes it off and seems proud that she has never conformed her ideas. she is very big into music and acting and she participates in the school's drama program and has a powerful presence on stage. everyone thinks she's going to hollywood after high school and that she has a chance of possibly making it big. she's sort of that girl that does what she wants, when she wants, and she doesn't really care what other people think of her. she comes from a more blue collar background and her mother died when she was a kid and her father raised her. she's a tomboy to some degree and doesn't tend to act like a stereotypical teen girl in that she doesn't foam at the mouth over getting dates or going shopping and she prefers acting, football games on tv with her dad, or reading. anyways i could use everything: best friends of both genders, exes, the unrequited crush that has no idea zooey has feelings for him or quite possibly that she even exists, friends, enemies, neighbors, cousins, whatever. i can also fill lines if you think she'll fit. 14 comments|post comment
