I'm hoping y'all can help me out. I once read a story where Grissom was either having problems with his hearing or Nick had found out about the possibility he could lose his hearing and learned sign language so he could speak to Grissom. I have no idea if they were together in the beginning or not, but they're together by the end. At some point they investigate a family who had been killed, only the little girl survived and she was deaf and they ended up adopting her. I read this ages ago, but can't find it again. Can y'all help?

Not going to do a blow-by-blow recap tonight, not least because I still have to pack for a weekend trip. However...( Spoilers here... )

We'll see what next week brings; the build-up looks grim. Given what Greg found in a Rubbermaid tub in a previous ep, what on earth will they find in that box?

William Petersen is reported to have renewed his contract for another season of CSI.

When I posted a recent fic called “A Time To Be Born” on WMTDB, several people asked if there’d be any more Emily stories…so she’s in this new fic, but there’s also a repeat visit from another character that my long term readers may well recognise. This tale follows canon up to the attack on Greg, but then things take a different path – not sure if that counts as AU or just plain “what if the ep had ended this way?”. Huge thanks must go to the fantastic Nina, both for linguistic help and for helping me to hammer out the bare bones of this story over a meal at Gatwick Airport earlier this week…missing you already, hon!

I'm getting excited about the return of CSI next Thursday. Grissom's Divine Comedy--it may be time to do some Wikipedia on Dante.
