Even though Strange (and Loki, for that matter) could magic up damn near any object they could ever want, the sorcerer still enjoyed shopping. Honestly, he just enjoyed being out. The sanctum was a fine place to spend his time while the hotel was on the island, but he sure as hell didn't get any sunlight down in that basement. Not that he was getting too much vitamin D out there on the sidewalk, either. Seattle was forever overcast. Which might have seemed dreary to most, but Stephen really liked this sort of weather. Rain was calming and peaceful. Stephen would have seen this as an outright vacation if it weren't for the vampires and werewolves that appeared at night. Stephen had tried to keep an eye on the Crown Plaza guests once he realized what the threat was. He had known from the get-go there had to be a catch. The hotel rarely ever brought them anywhere for fun. But watching every single guest was like herding kittens and ultimately, he decided that if he saw someone in trouble, he would absolutely help them. But he also wasn't going to run around Seattle at night making sure everyone was safe if they were dumb enough to go out. Currently, Stephen and Loki were taking a break from store-hopping, leisurely strolling through the Chihuly Gardens, which was filled with bright, colorful glass sculptures and flowers that somehow persevered through Seattle's gloomy weather. Eventually, Stephen turned his attention to Loki with a rather hopeful look on his face. "Hey, what do you say we get a fancy room for the night? You know, some big, extravagant suite at some five-star hotel. We can order in? Have ourselves a nice little change in scenery?" At least until they fell asleep and got zipped back to the Crown Plaza. |
