Ben had no regrets when it came to food. He had only two moods when it came to eating; starving himself or gorging until he was so full, he couldn't move. When the fries had shown up in their room, the young Solo didn't even think twice before grabbing a hot crispy piece and shoving it in his mouth. They were salty and delicious and he couldn't stop eating them! The simultaneously great and terrible thing about the most recent gift from the hotel was that the plate was never-ending. As soon as he snatched the last fry from the plate, the whole thing would refill in a blink. Only then did Ben wonder if maybe there was something devious about them. It was that very reasoning he used to justify trying Finn's plate of fries. The ex-stormtrooper had discovered his plate a little earlier than him and had gone to the kitchen to fetch some spices to put on them. Ben had to be sure they were safe to eat too. The plate was empty before Ben realized. To make up for this thievery, Ben promised a plate of cinnamon rolls. As long as Finn helped. It had been awhile since he'd made them but he knew the recipe by heart. The last time he'd made them they'd been for Armitage so he kept in mind to save one for him on the side. Once he was in the kitchen, Ben wasted no time pulling everything he'd need out of the cupboards. Maybe wearing his usual all-black attire was a poor choice for something that would make a mess over all of it but it was his favorite shirt and pants. If they were good enough to die in, they were good enough to cook in. He sent Finn a message about meeting him and then set his phone to the side so he could start taking out everything else, collecting everything on the counter in a mess of ingredients and bowls. |
