He'd asked his parents for one; a sibling. A brother or a sister. He hadn't cared which. Just someone to play with, to have with him when they weren't around. 'Course, when he was lonely, Chewie was always about to distract him and show him around. And since any conversation about his parents having another child always ended poorly, he stopped asking.
But better late than never. Sometimes the best family was the one you found. Not the one you started out with. Ben wouldn't trade his family for anything but he was grateful every morning he woke up that he had Armitage and the others. Each time he opened his eyes, there was that split-second thought that it could all be taken away. That they could disappear forever. All the more reason to appreciate every moment he had with all of them.
"You're going to burn your fingers!" But Ben laughed as Finn went straight for the rolls before the cinnamon sugar had even helped to cool them. Naturally, he couldn't let Finn suffer alone and grabbed two at once. "You don't touch anything for awhile," Ben snickered. He shoved the one roll in his mouth and when he was done chewing that one, he popped in the second. When both were gone, he started to lick at his fingers. "We should probably save some for the others..." he felt he had to add. Even as he went for a third roll.
