Whatever came next, it wouldn't make Bucky love Steve any less. If they weren't together romantically, they would still be friends. That would never change. He was at Steve's side no matter what. Knowing that took away a little bit of the nerves he was feeling right now. But only a little. His stomach clenched uncomfortably as Steve dived off the end and right into those murky waters.
He smiled, lifting his head to look up at Steve, when he heard the apology. Steve had every reason to give him the cold shoulder. It was Bucky who should be saying sorry. He knew that Steve hadn't avoided him to be cruel but it had hurt for Steve to take so long to talk to him again. "It's okay. I get it. I was okay with waiting until you were good. Although, if you'd gone another day, I was going start glaring at the back of your head until I got your attention again." He was patient. To a point.
"All of this? There isn't actually a lot of ..this. Or that. There's just-" Bucky sucked in a short breath and sighed. It was something; Zemo and him. Treating like it was anything less was unfair. To both Zemo and Steve. And to himself. Bucky ran his vibranium fingers through his hair, resting them at the back of his neck. "How much do you want to know?"
