Padmé had no idea how she ended up in this strange place. She eebeen on Coruscant just a moment ago and it felt like she blinked and ended up here. It didn't seem like anywhere she had been before in the Galaxy and there was a niggling feeling that this could be some sort of kidnapping or some kind of trap. She knew there was a room that she would apparently be staying in, but she didn't want to go there yet. Exploring seemed like a much better option.
A while later after many twists and turns she found herself in a room that was decorated with lanes, leading to a cavernous mouth, large machines, and a variety of heavy balls. This was definitely not something she had ever seen before, but it seemed too elaborate for the Separatists. Padmé was running her hand along the machine when she heard a noise from her right side. She didn't have a blaster on her so she crouched slightly so she couldn't be seen, but could keep an eye out on the intruder.

Anakin had immediately suspected Dooku for this treachery. Obviously this was a kidnapping, and who else would be behind kidnapping Jedi?
He was busy looking for information, clues, a way out, when he felt it in the back of his mind. A familiar presence that only made him believe more strongly in his working theory that Dooku was behind this, and angrier at the Sith all the more.
He started following his intuition through the corridors until he came to a large, colorful room. He came to a stop after entering, turning around to see if he could spot Padme.
***
The footsteps sounded familiar, but Padme still stayed hidden just in case her senses were deceiving her. But she caught sight of the person entering the room and her shoulders dropped in relief. Thank the stars, it was Anakin! She quickly stood up and it was confirmed that it was her husband.
“Ani!” She called out as she made her way over to him, quickly wrapping her arms around him once she reached him, “Oh, I’m so glad you’re here. I have no idea where we are, but I’m glad we’re not alone in this. I don’t even have a weapon to defend myself with.”
***
With visible relief in his expression, Anakin swept Padme into his arms and held her tightly. He could almost imagine Padme could feel from him just how grateful he was to see she was alright, and also comforted by her presence.
“They got you, too.” Which was apparent, but voicing it outloud helped Anakin.
He pulled back, but just enough to talk.
“I don’t have my lightsaber either. Dooku must be behind this. I’ve been trying to find a way to escape or send out a comm message. But then I felt you and I had to come to you first.”

“I’m not sure who they is yet, but if it is Dooku then this is a very elaborate trap,” Padmé pointed out to him as she reached up to touch his face and confirm that he was very real. It was a very strange thing for the separatists to be able to get them into a new place like this without any kind of warning.
“I don’t even have a comm on me. I’m glad you found me, thank the Force for that. This place is strange, Ani, I can’t figure out what all these balls are for and those odd pins down at the end,” Padmé didn’t like that they were in a location that was completely unknown because it gave too many variables in favor of the enemy.
***
Thank the Force indeed. It would always bring Anakin back to Padmé… if she was nearby. If she wasn’t nearby, or somewhere where he could travel, he didn’t know what he would do.
“This is,” he looked around… “I don’t know what any of this is.”
He looked back at Padmé. “If Dooku isn’t behind this, then who?”
***
“I have no idea. Could it be his master?” Padme had heard the rumors that there was someone controlling Dooku, but she had no idea who it was. Could it be the top leader of the Sith that was pulling the strings for this?
“Should we get out of here and look around more?” Seeing their surroundings was probably a good idea because Padme didn’t think staying in one place for too long was ideal. It wouldn’t be a bad thing to figure out where they were exactly, “I was told some sort of room number on the data pad, but I haven’t gone to look for it yet.”
***
“I was told a room number, too,” Anakin said. “I’m in room one-seventeen. What room are you in?” He hoped it was the same number.
***
“Oh, I’m in five-oh-seven,” Padme’s disappointment was clear on her face and in her voice. She was curious how they got assigned their rooms. She had no idea how many of this was figured out, but maybe their room would be a safer place to be, “I think I remember the path back to the elevators unless there happens to be some stairs you want to take.
***
Anakin’s brow crossed, he was visibly not okay with them being in different rooms. They’d been kidnapped, it made sense they should stay together. Sure, because Padme was his wife, but for safety reasons, too.
“We can take the elevators,” he said, nodding towards the door out of this strange room.
***
It wasn’t a surprise that Anakin wasn’t pleased, but it didn’t seem like this was a place where they could make things happen to their liking. She would much rather be together with Anakin than left alone in a room, but she wasn’t sure what this housing situation actually was.
“Perfect, so have you figured out anything else about this place?” Padme asked as they walked towards the elevator. She was hoping maybe Anakin had seem more of this place than she had.
***
Anakin had seen a few more rooms, but he hadn’t figured out much of anything more than Padme had.
He shook his head.
“More rooms, some like the one I found you in,” he said. By that he meant, he didn’t know what they could be for. “I think I did see a dining hall?”
They reached the elevators and he hit the number for Padme’s floor.

"Well at least it isn't that kind of torture," Padme hated how war brought out the worst in people and torture wasn't something she condoned. Allowing them free reign of this hotel and providing food made Padme wonder what this was and who was behind it.
She slipped her hand into Anakin's as they rode the elevator up to her floor. Her thoughts were more focused on being thankful that he was around now as they made their way to her room.
