WHO: Ember and Kai WHEN: Saturday, Afternoon WHERE: Kai's room and then Snowmass? WHAT: BESTIE TIME. RATING: Likely low. They're good girls ;) STATUS: Closed/Ongoing
As Saturday rolled around, Ember found herself thinking about her time at Crestwood so far. It wasn't a melancholy brood session like some people engaged in, but more just reflection. In the beginning, she hadn't been sure what to make of the place. Being that she didn't have anywhere else to go, and wanting to learn about her abilities, she had kept her mind open during those first few days. Even now, she smiled at how lucky it was that she hadn't walked around with a chip on her shoulder like some people did; especially people who had been through ugly things like she had. Everyone had their demons, Ember figured, and she wasn't going to let hers beat her. Which was exactly why she'd been in a good and accepting mood when she'd stumbled across Kai. The other girl had bumped into her, an innocent thing others would take far too seriously. That bump had been the beginning of what had been the most instant, most all-in friendship Ember had ever experienced, though. She'd only known her friend for a few months, but it felt like years.
This closeness was exactly why Ember felt she could burst into her counterpart's room without so much as a warning text.
Throwing open the door, after breezing through the common area with an affectionate wave for any unitmates that might be surprised, Ember burst straight into the room she knew as well as she knew her own. "SQUIRTLE!" she exclaimed, looking around for Kai straight away. 'We're going shopping!"
