Who: James and Monique Thompson
What: James searches out Monique to check on her
When: Friday, October 16th, mid morning
Where: Near Unit 5
Rating: Low.
James slept like a log after he and Niko had finally called it a night. He had wrapped himself around Niko, like he had done countless times before, and let the scent of his husband lull him into a deep sleep. For the first time since they had gotten together, he slept without any worries. Not because he lacked them. Rather, after everything that had happened, he was so overstimulated he couldn't feel much of anything at the moment. He didn't even dream. Probably didn't even snore, but then, he doubted Niko would be doing much complaining even if he had. He might not have empathy, but there was no denying how Niko had reacted to him. He missed him. God only knew how long this would last, but James was not going to take their new time for granted.
Except there was one little problem.
James hadn't forgotten about Monique last night. Rather, he had simply been so overcharged that even though he wanted to check for his daughter, he couldn't. Besides, unlike him, she had fared much better int he fight and even the interrogation. The latter was not without a lack of trying on their part though. All the same, while he was fairly sure that things were on the up and up, he had to check for himself.
He showered, and tried to get some of the stains out his old clothes. Well, something to be taken care of later. He just hoped he didn't scare off anyone. The most serious of his injuries had mended enough for him to move around almost normally now. Not that it would have stopped him from trying to tack his daughter down.
He didn't really have any idea of how this place worked or where anything was. It didn't stop him from trying to track her down using her scent. Out of the main lodge, outside and toward the cabins. He smiled faintly seeing her laying down in the grass.
"Making a snow angel?" It was a stupid question as he wasn't even sure she knew what that was. Besides it was grass. Monique was sure to give him a lecture on how different snow and grass were.
