Who: Severus and Rabastan What: Discussion over dinner on how to handle When: Thursday 19 May 2011 Where: Drycraft House, home of the Minister for Magic Why: Cause somethings got to be done.
The truth was, Severus was scared. If he ever discussed his true feelings on the Dark Lord it was only with Louisa and all words were carefully chosen. He didn't even think about it too deeply on his own for fear of his brain one day being penetrated by Him. But the situation now required comprehensive thought and discussion, as well as developing contingency plans in the event of a worst-case scenario. The trouble was figuring out which scenario was actually the worst. And he had no idea if he and Rabastan were going to be on the same page in that regard.
As always, Severus was perfectly timed, arriving at Drycraft House, the Minister's residence, at precisely seven. Severus was also hungry, living with a toddler meant dinner was much earlier than most adults ate and seven pm was deep into bath and book time.
A human servant saw Severus into the lounge, leaving him alone after a declined drink offer. Severus didn't sit but moved slowly around the room looking at paintings that contained blocks, swirls, and splashes of lines and colour. Not a person or landscape among them, presumably to keep painted, eavesdropping visitors from entering the room uninvited.
