For as much as Theo knew that Martin was his friend, he was still surprised when Martin seemed just as happy to see him as he was to see Martin, as he was whenever anyone was pleased to see him. "Hi Martin!" he repeated, and answered Martin's question in his usual disjointed style. "I ate something. Ax isn't here. How are you?"
He hesitated a little at the space Martin made on the couch, but he was used to plastering himself to Ax's side all the time, and had developed something similar with Martin. When he could remember that Martin and his little friend Longcat were the same entitity, he remembered that he'd been able to cuddle Longcat as long as the marten had been content to be cuddled, and that translated over to his interactions with Martin in his human body.
He still approached a little gingerly but had soon nestled himself up beside Martin, tentatively letting the sides of each other's bodies touch. Martin could be sure that this was something Theo wanted to do because he'd just left the suggestion of permission there; the more time they spent together, the better Martin got at handling Theo.
"Are you busy?" he asked, looking over the paperwork spread neatly over the table and chewing a little at his bottom lip. "I'm sorry." he apologised in case he was disturbing.
