Who: Lucius and Draco What: Lucius is sending Draco to therapy. When: January 2011 Where: Lucius' office Why: Draco be cray-cray.
Lucius had been consumed with Draco's mental health, or lack thereof, for months now. His big slip backward was terrifying, but rather quickly (as compared to the first big break) Draco had regained some of his memory. The main problem now was that his son seemed to be having difficulty differentiating between his dreams and reality. And Harry Potter was a constant guest in Draco's dreams. All of this made sense to Lucius. Draco's first trauma had been when Voldemort made him kill Harry Potter and put in him the mirror. If he was now dreaming about Potter, it followed that he might be affected similarly. But Draco could not go on like this. If he was having nightly dreams of Harry Potter, something needed to be done about it.
Therapy, in general, made Lucius uncomfortable. He did not like the idea of telling someone every thought and feeling he was having. He understood the theory of why therapy works but he could not get behind it himself. However, it had helped Narcissa when she needed to stop using alcohol and potions. And it seemed to have helped Louisa Macnair. Perhaps it could help Draco.
Now he had to tell Draco he was going to therapy. Draco would go, regardless of whether or not he wanted to, Lucius just hoped that he would do so willingly.
"Enter," he responded to the knock on the door, just loudly enough to be heard on the other side. Minutes ago, Lucius sent a house-elf to inform Draco that his presence was wanted in his father's study, that with the intent of setting a serious tone.
