Severus had enjoyed his dinner with the Malfoys a couple of weeks prior, but he didn't see the need, as Narcissa did, for it to become a regular thing. He had tried to decline the second invitation, but she had been insistent, and their discussion came to a point where continuing to decline began to feel rude and ungrateful. So, he was back at Malfoy Manner for Sunday roast, when he should be at school preparing for the next weeks lessons.
Usually it was a house-elf that answered the Malfoy's door, and Severus was surprised to see Draco and Narcissa doing it themselves. "Oh. Hello," he said, slightly taken aback. Then, because he thought he was suppose to, Severus grinned down at Draco, only to watch his pale, nearly invisible blond brows furrow and the sweet smile fade from his face. Even toddlers were capable of making Severus feel like a complete disappointment.
