WHEN: New Years Eve!
WARNINGS: TBD

It had nearly killed her to keep her New Year’s Eve plans secret. It was popular to talk around the office about what everyone was doing but she kept mum. People weren’t stupid enough to not know who she was seeing by now and that only proved to make them more curious. She had been remarkably close-lipped about it all though. There would be no big Witch Weekly New Year’s Eve party appearance or over the top public show. She wanted it to be something quiet for just them. She had wanted something that no one else might take notice or care about.
She took care making a picnic for two. Wrapped neatly in the basket was salad with homemade dressing, Sandwiches with cream cheese, chicken and cranberries, Chocolate-Dipped Cherry-Hazelnut Biscotti. There was also chilled champagne. Everything was set up on a rather plan large black blanket. She’d set candles everywhere for effect. She’d also placed a warming charm around the general area as an after thought.
This would be nothing when compared to the main event of the evening. That would come closer to midnight though. People she’d paid off with more than half a months pay were already working on setting up part B on the other side of the park. She’d always been a girly sort of bird. She came up with big romantic ideas that she often gave to other people but this one was her own. Finlay had more than merited such a thing. She might not be the most verbal about her feelings for him but actions always spoke louder than words in her book.
She had dressed conservatively. She knew better than not dressing warmly. She compromised between the need for practicality and the need for fashion but wearing a sparkly black shirt under a fashionable long black leather jacket. Jeans and ballet flats finished off the ensemble. Maybe she ought to have brought a hat but that would have messed up her hair. She let it fall in dark curls as she’d wanted it to. She’d deal with being windblown later. With everything in place, all she really had to do was wait.
