Email to Steve Rogers (300)
Hello Mister Rogers!

I'm trying to help the five year old Steve bring Steven the greatest Christmas he's ever had. And we were wondering if you could maybe give some ideas to stuff that he might want. That way 'Santa' can sneak things in early for surprises until Christmas.

Thanks for any help,

Love
Sophia.

I would really love to help out, Sophia. I didn't realize he needed so much convincing about Santa, though. Did something happen?

Oh, I know Santa isn't real. I'm fourteen. But Steve wants Steven to believe, so I'm going to pretend that Santa is real. I wouldn't want it ruined for him, he's so sweet. They both are.

He said Steven's Dad was mean, and told Steven that Santa didn't come to see him because he was bad. I know how that is. I know what it's like to have mean fathers. So if we could make Steven's experience with Christmas better... I want to do anything I could.

To call Joseph Rogers mean is the biggest understatement of my three centuries. He was an abusive drunk that made everyone around him miserable. Including me. Told me all kinds of horrible things about why I wasn't getting Christmas presents. Any time my mom bought me any, he'd turn around and sell them for booze money. So I will do everything in my power to make sure that Steven has the most wonderful Christmas of his life.

Until his son is born, anyway.

I know how that is. Probably to well. Ed Peletier.... I don't want to talk about him. I have better Dads now. Mitchell, my legal Dad, and Clint. And Steve does too. Steven. Technicals don't matter right now.

So, what can we do? I work with Steven sometimes so I can sneak stuff into work, and I babysit Steve when both him and Mrs Lillian work.

I liked Buck Rogers and the Lone Ranger back then. And I went to school to be an illustrator. Even did some work on some comics.

Um I don't know who those people are, but I'll google them later. So he'd probably like really fancy pens and nice drawing pads too right?

It hurts a little that you don't know who Buck Rogers and the Lone Ranger are.

And some fancy colored pencils too. There are these ones from France. See if Tony can get them for you. Le Comptoir de Mots. I wanted them for school but couldn't afford them.

I was twelve in the year 2011, brought from a world that was covered in zombies. It was harder to find out about the neat stuff from the history books. But I will find out who they are, I promise. OH! Mitchell could help too! He was in WWI!

I might go see Mister Stark for Buck Rogers stuff and Lone Ranger stuff too.

Tony will definitely know about Buck Rogers.

But he's not very old, is he? He doesn't look it. I mean you don't either. My Father looked older than both of you. But Mitchell doesn't look that old either. Are you a vampire?

I'm not a vampire, no. You know that I used to be Steven. They gave me a serum that made me healthy and strong and it treats aging like a disease or an injury. My body just keeps repairing itself. I didn't start aging until I hit 250. I'm 300 years old and only look about 35. I think this means that eventually I will get old but it's going to take a very long time.

My heart still beats and I still breath and everything. I can get hurt but I heal faster. I'm just a better version of a regular human.

And you're sure you're not a vampire? Cause Mitchell can do all that stuff. But he needs blood to heal fast, he still heals lots faster than normal humans though.

Are you sure? Sometimes they hide. Cause Mitchell he doesn't have fags that you see right off either.

Being a vampire isn't bad though. I think. Cause Mitchell's good. And Mister Cutler was mean sometimes, but before he died he was kinda good. The Damons were scary though.

I know it's not bad. I've spent a lot of time with Mitchell while here on the island. He's a great guy. I'm just not a vampire.

Actually, Doctor Banner's situation is a result of trying to replicate the serum that made me what I am.

I guess that's handy, I bet you'd go through lots of clothes if you were little like Steven and then got big like you are now for some reason.
