There's a couple schools of thought but I don't think anyone knows for sure. One peice of advice though: steer clear of the giant stone tower at the center of town, weird stuff happens to anyone who gets too close or actually tries to get in.

Indeed, free....! We ask nothing more than that you don't take more than you need - except for the books, that is to say....! There's nothing if not a bloody deluge of books here.... And apparently that's where we all came from...? I dunno, exactly.... I just heard that, once.... And of course, I DID find the Harry Potter books.... Which I was apparently imagined from, at the very least.... I mean, my name only appears a couple of times in the book, and then, only really my brother's name, rather!

Sorry, I'm waffling on and on again, aren't I? Sorry....!

Heh...! Yes, the Harry Potter books have mine own name in them - mine family name at least: Jugson! I mean, I think he only appeared as my Death Eater brother relation.... But yeah, I was technically from the books, I suppose...

That is pretty awesome. I am a fan, but I've only read the first few, because I'm from 2002.... and I've come to understand it's 2013 here. But I liked the ones I read. But I was really the only one in my group of friends who did.

I mean... according to the copyright dates inside these books - well, there's a good chance you haven't even seen the book Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire yet- wherein - sorry to spoil you upon this, but - He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named returns....! And here I am still superstitious about his damned title even after spending almost 6 bloody MONTHS here, and from a universe where he was ostensibly dead besides...! Hah! I mean, there's three more books after that - each one more gruesome and more - adult than kiddo than the last one! I can't be too certain sure - but... Well, your friends might have been fans of the books by the time Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince came round....

I look forward to reading the rest of them. I look forward to getting into all the books here, I mean, I'm so excited that there are so many. I love books, they are so awesome. I love to hack into computers and whatnot, but reading is my real passion.

I think that it's pretty cool you're actually mentioned in one of the Potter books.
