	We're thinking of touring Cairo and Giza, then taking the train to Luxor to see Thebes. The more able bodied among us (not me currently, alas) could go to the Valley of the Kings if interested to see some of the more spectacular tombs, and from there we could travel by boat back to Cairo. 	Egyptian Arabic is by far the most common, though I'm sure some of the idioms will be different compared to my time. I'll be happy to help you brush up. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Hmmm...have you considered a tether? You can also pay a servant to follow him wherever he goes once we're on the other side of the door. One thing Egypt of my era is never short of is available labor, and while they won't know of me yet I know of several reputable families we could hire workers from. (Reply to this) (Parent)
