Okay.. I have to say, I have lived in a world with Law and Order, but I've never lived in a world with L&O: SVU. That is crazy to me. I realize that it handles tough cases, but it's really good, actually. Jo would have loved it.

That narrows down the years that you could be from. Have you seen any of the other incarnations of Law and Order?

Just the original. It was 1998 when I was pulled here. That was a year before SVU started.

I'm Mike.

That was back when Jerry Orbach was on the show, wasn't it?

I'm Amélie.

Yes, he was Lenny Briscoe.

It's nice to meet you.

I remember when he passed away. Very sad.

Nice to meet you too.

He passed away? That does sound sad.

I am still not sure if I'm happy to be here, but I am making the most of it.

Yeah..To clarify - it was before I was born, but I remember hearing about it. He had cancer.

There are some great things about being here. Everything's free for one.

That is really sad. He was very talented.

That is true. I suppose that I can get used to that. Although I was making decent enough money at home.

If you have time, you should watch Law and Order: Trial by Jury. There weren't many episodes, but it was his last appearance. I thought it was good.

What did you do?

I might have to do that. I have looked into that one, and I know that Bebe Neuworth was on that one. I actually liked her a lot on Cheers.

I was a writer... I just happen to have writer's block at the moment.

Her appearances on Frasier were good too.

That must be difficult.

Yes, she's completely full of talent. I don't think I could ever be able to do what she does.

It is... I mean, I'm definitely the first one to not think much of my writing, but I did make a respectable living.

You writing must have been good if you were able to make a living at it. I've heard that many people in other worlds try to make a go at creative careers like that, and don't have much success.

I wouldn't consider myself Dean Koontz or anything, but I did crack the bestseller list a few times.

I suppose a writer similar to me would be Jeffrey Deaver.

You have not lived until you've had an all day SVU marathon in your PJs with nothing but junk food.
