email to Izzy

Izzy,

I would like to sincerely apologize for my behavior as of late. I know that I was being whiney and overdramatic. I blew everything way out of proportion and I'm sorry. I've taken some time to clear my head and really look at things. I know that my reaction was irrational and unacceptible. The only excuse I can give is that, being only 22 and not required to completely grow up yet, I didn't know how to handle the situation. It is exactly that, though. An excuse. I am an adult and should better handle whatever may be thrown my way. I promise, in the future, to not bother you with such trivial concerns. Especially when I should have been able to handle it myself. It was very childish of my and I am sorry.

Sincerely,

Rachel.

Rachel,

You don't have to apologize to me. We aren't emotionless robots after all so I can't exactly expect you to use logic all the time, I certainly don't even if I think I should. I'm many things but perfect isn't one of them.

I'm an engineer by training and inclination and I don't have the experience with refereeing family disputes that future me must have. I don't know if you've heard the stories about how I grew up, but my mother worked hard to make sure I had everything I needed in terms of food and clothes and education, and that didn't leave a lot of time for other things. So I'm going at this 'mom' thing blind.

I'm sorry if I made you feel bad and didn't give you the support you needed. I'm going to try to do better when you're growing up.

If you need to vent, I guess that's what mom's are for so don't feel like you can't do that with me. I'll try and do better next time.

Izzy

Izzy,

I'm saying that you don't have to worry about being a mom to me. At least not until I'm actually born. From now on just think of me as another random island resident. I think it'll take a lot of pressure off both of us.

Rachel.

We can try that I guess if you want.

So Rachel what sorts of things do you like to do normally?

I like to hike. And dance. And go flying with Jake. I like being out in nature. And I like fixing things. Doing stuff with my hands.
