Plants should not be inside in pots

I need help.

Which plants grow best inside? Are there flowers that don't mind it?

And are there seeds? I don't wish to remove grown plants from their homes so cruelly.

I have plenty of seeds but there are some plants that grow pretty happily inside. And there's ways to get others to live just as joyously indoors too. So long as you take care of them and talk to them and...

I'm soundin' a wee bit crazy aren't I?

What is 'crazy' about what you say?

Well, I mean hardly anyone understands the need to talk to your plants.

Then they are...yaymak - ignorant.

Plants and animals are not ours to do with as we please.

Oh no, they aren't. You gotta ask real nice like. Most are pretty good about being moved though. So long as you explain what you're doin' and where they're goin' and that you'll treat 'em real nice they generally don't mind. There are a few stubborn fruit trees that wanted to stay where they were, but didn't mind that I took the sprouts, so that they could grow big and strong.

Sorry, I'll go on and on about it if you let me.

It is all well. You may speak as you wish. It is lefpom - pleasant - to hear another speak that way.

They wish no more than me to live inside. But we shall learn.

I've got some hybrid ones in the little greenhouse that Tony built me, that would probably be right happy inside. They'll even bear fruit with the right amount of water and love. You might have to get some UV lamps till they're big enough to sustain themselves on regular ol' light bulbs. Or that's what Jarvis says. He an AI and don't talk to the plants though.

I could get my brother to bring 'em on down probably. Unless you're good and strong. I would, but I'm not supposed to pick up more than ten pounds.

Ten pounds? How much is that? And why?

I am strong enough to carry them.

I do not know what AI is. Or Jarvis. Or UV Lamps. I do not know these things.

Oh what unit of weight do you use? I'll get Jarvis to convert it. And I'm with child, it's dangerous for the baby if I carry to much.

Okay! Have you seen the biiig tower that has STARK up at the top?

AI is um... Artificial intelligence. Jarvis is what it's called which stands for Just A Rather Very Intelligent System. And a UV lamp is the easy part, it's a light that can hold a bulb that can simulate the sun's rays.

Oh! I'm Applejack. Or AJ for short.

I think they're makin' a big ol' fuss over nothin' but I'm not sure how much this body could take, so I'm okay with them callin' the shots. I don't want nothin' to happen to the baby.

Pardon?

They wont need it for long though, I imagine you'll want to put them in a bigger pot and once they get used to that then they'll be good with the light that comes in from the windows, and the normal light bulbs.

It's a right pleasure to make your acquaintance.

One would think the bodies of women would be made well enough that it is not a problem?

I offer you - ah, good wishes?

I am in the apartments, where may I find you?

Yes, may Eywa smile on our first meeting.

I think it has to do with the muscles where they are and stuff. Shoot I broke my leg doin' something I could do when I was a pony. And that was way before I

Oh! Thank you, sugarcube.

If you step outside you can look up in the skyline of the city, I'm in the second biggest tower. The one that says STARK up close to the top. Speaking of... I was thinkin' maybe you and your mate would like to move in here? There's apartments down on the first five floors, and I bet between us both we could turn one of the extra rooms into an indoor forest, with Jarvis' supervision I know it would thrive real well. It's just a thought, no pressure though.

And may Celestia bless it.

Oh my God, you are stunning

My mother used to grow a number of plants indoors. Peace lilies, orchids, spider plants and the like. And our housekeeper used to grow all sorts of herbs on the windowsills in our kitchen so that she could cook with them.

I'm going to get supplies through the door that's just opened up. Would you like me to get you some plants and seeds? I see AJ's offered to give you some, but I'd be happy to get more for you, if you'd like.

I'm Eames, by the way.

Were they happy? Did they thrive?

I would like that very much. I am...trying to make my apartment livable, while I must live there.

I think so. My mother was quite good at gardening and tending to her plants which must be where Danny got it from and friends of hers would sometimes ask her to look after their plants because they couldn't.

I'll bring back what I can, Neytiri. Are there any types of plants you would prefer? Or are all plants equally welcome?

All are welcome. Blue ones, perhaps, would make me feel most at home.

Is it true that some humans have allergies to plants...?

I do not know if Jake is allergic to any.

Some humans are allergic to pollen, yes. It's called hayfever. But there are tablets that people can take to help deal with that, called antihistamines. I have to take them because I'm allergic to cats.

I'll get the plants anyway, and if Jake is allergic to any of them, we can give those plants to AJ to look after. How's that?

These are cats. Little ones, anyway. They're hunters, so they have sharp teeth and claws, and they're good at climbing trees. We've domesticated them, so people keep them as pets.

I've seen a few in the streets, but I think they're feral. I don't know, I haven't gone close enough to check.

African violets like to grow inside. They're pretty too.

Orchids as well. You can find orchids in almost any colour.

If there is a greenhouse here, you can find the plants there. Or if you wish to grow them yourself, you can find seeds and everything you need in order to house and raise the plants there.

I will try. Perhaps if I cover up enough of the bare walls of the apartment, it will feel more like home.
