My lord, it has come to my attention that my cousin has not been forthcoming on the things that have transpired over the past few days. I am grieved to have to give you such terrible news, but it is your right to know. I know not why she has kept it from you.

Imrahil, prince of Dol Amroth, and your lady's father, was killed in the battle with the metal warriors.

I am deeply sorry for this, my lord. You have my deepest condolences, and believe me when I say that I share in your grief.
