Greetings, all.

I am writing concerning the party, which, despite the recent darkness, will still take place this Saturday, June 8th.

The King and I are truly looking forward to having you celebrate with us, and hope that you will enjoy the night as well. For those of you who have arrived recently, please, you also must attend!

If anyone has any questions or requests, please feel free to ask.

Lady Anairë

Pardon my foolish question, my lady,

But what invitation are you extending?

Ah, you must be one of the new ones!

My husband and I are holding a ball in honor of the marriage of Lord Aikanáro and Lady Andreth.

You will be coming, then?

I would be so delighted, my lady, if time allows.

Nay, time will allow. The King and I expect you there.

And I will gladly do so, if I have time, my lady.

I hope so too! Although I don't exactly know where it's being held, I'm afraid.

Oh, forgive me. It's at Vinyamar - our palace by the sea. If you do not know the way, we will send someone to show you.

What is he a King of? This island?

What kind of party?

He is the king of the Elves on this island.

It is a party to celebrate the recent wedding of my nephew.

Elves... all right.

Is this some kind of formal party? I haven't been to one of those since I was a kid and even then.

Indeed, it is, sir.

Very formal.

Then thank you for the invitation but it's probably best I decline.

If it is clothing you lack, I am certain my husband has something you could wear.

All I have is my field uniform, but its more the fact that I'm more accustomed to briefings and strategy meetings than formal parties. My people have been in a war for survival for well over a decade now and we haven't had the time or resources for such a luxury.

I wouldn't want to spoil your party by saying or doing the wrong thing by accident.
