There are many [...] modern methods of warfare and weaponry in this city. But I am accustomed to the use of sword and shield.

I'm interested in learning other methods of fighting, and offer to teach any who wish it the use of a sword. I have but one, but I know others on the island have come with them, or may forge them.

I am not asking to practice fighting as I know well how to fight, and have done so since I was a boy. I am offering to teach my skill to others, if you are interested.

Hey, man. I could teach you how to fire a rifle, if you're interested.

If not, I'm game for practising a bit of hand-to-hand combat with you, as well.

I could perhaps teach you what I've learned during my travels. I would not mind having someone to spar with either, though my usual way of fighting is less...confrontational.
