Sounds like fun, truly but - well, I was on my way to visit a sick - well, I suppose I can call him a - no, nay - I can't call him a friend, really; I've never even met him, in person...! But still... yes, I have to go visit him, and try to freshen up his room with some fresh-picked chrysanthemums...!

Oh, nay, do not pick them! They will die. They are lovely where they are.

... I'm sorry, milady, but... they'll eventually die anyhow, whenever the winter frost falls upon them which may come soon, if, as I suspect, we're in some subtropical land...! But still, even if I am killing these flowers prematurely, well, I'll take THAT murder on my hands, to save the life of a Man who cannot bear to eat in the stench of the hospital...! I mean, he CLAIMS he keeps being sick with his food, and - frankly, having spent so many days in that same hospital, I can most certainly believe him...!

What does this mean?

You... don't know what it means to be sick? Lucky you...! I mean... it's hard to explain, really - at least, in any delicate terms, rather...!

I have no idea what it means.

Is it...like when my grandson sneezes?

...Sort of, only it's... more of a Sneeze coming straight up from your STOMACH...! I mean, it's like a sneeze, in that something is expelled - only with a sneeze, you're only clearing your nose, not... y' know, your stomach...!

Indeed, milady...! I mean, you can see how it's impossible to speak of it in any... socially appropriate terms!

At any rate, the overly-clean stench of the hospital is making my - new friend, I suppose we'll call him - sick to his stomach, and so... hopefully the flowers will help with that.

It is a thing common in Men. A thing that may assail us and end our lives in numbers. Illness takes our bodies, and sometimes our minds.

It strikes at random, and most of the time we recover but in some cases we do not.

Aye, indeed, good monsieur, but... let us pray my new friend doesn't DIE of that... Not after surviving... whatever wounds he has in hospital, now...!

I'm sorry, monsieur... I don't think we've met?

If he is not ill then you need not fear. Wounds of body are easily overcome.

I call myself Dagnir. Well met, my lady.

Indeed, monsieur, but... as I said above, he's BEEN sick on account of the smell of the hospital... and so I'm worried about him surviving his wounds, only to lay down starving, and die thusly...!

I mean, it's nice to meet you, as well, Monsieur... Dagnir? What language is that name, may I ask? And more importantly, perhaps... sorry, but if YOU call yourself that - what do OTHERS call you, then?

Then a weak Man is he who cannot overcome mere stench.

The language is Sindarin, and others shall call me what they will.

Nay, he wouldn't be weak at ALL - to survive his wounds at all - much less in a place like that ruddy, alcohol-rubbed hospital...! I mean, i bear the doctors there no ill will, of course, given that I survived MY wounds, thanks to them but... well, I can understand wanting to smell FLOWERS rather than ALCOHOL all the bloody time...!

... All right, monsieur; fair enough to say I was being merely cheeky before, but... now you really have me curious...! What DO others call you, honestly?

((ooc: lol! the irony is that HER luck's almost as bad as Turin's, here...! xD <333))

If he complains of sickness, my lady, he has the strength to survive. Else why waste his breath on idiocy if he is dying?

I have many names, my lady, and only one of them given to me at birth. Others were bestowed upon me. Call me what you will.

...I suppose you DO have a point, there, monsieur...! But still... the flowers have been picked, and thus... well, I'm going to take them to him...!

Aww, you're not very much fun, now, are you? Heh! Fine, then; keep your secrets, monsieur...! And until I figure out what Sindarin IS and thus, how it's PRONOUNCED, I'll just call you... Danny-boy, how's that sound to you? Heh!

Aw! REALLY no fun, now are you? I mean, I was hoping to raise you at LEAST once as "Danny boy" over the - CB, I think Mary-Anne called it - before you ruined the suspense of your REAL name...!

Heh! I'm sorry, Monsieur; I can be a little bit of a punchy shrew, in case you haven't guessed yet...!
