I do appreciate you hosting the party and while I would love to go, I'm afraid my condition doesn't warrant it. I just wanted to let you know that my lack of attendance has nothing to do with the host, or the theme of the party, but rather my current condition. The party is exactly what this island needs so thank you for having it.

It is very kind of you to send your regrets, and I completely understand. I'm sorry to hear that you're not in the best of health, and I hope that if Mr Tucker is kind enough to offer me the premises again in the future, I may have the pleasure of your attendance at a later date, health permitting.
