I don't believe it! This isn't possible...

On this island, it would seem that anything is possible.

Are you quite all right?

Yes, it would seem you are correct.

I am, thank you Gatsby. It's going to sound absurd...

Oh, I doubt that. I don't believe that there is much I would consider absurd any longer.

...my cat, from when I was a boy. The Cat Bastet, a fearless protector and playmate. She died the summer I turned sixteen, when I stayed with Sheikh Mohammad and the Bedouin of the Sinai.

I woke up this morning to find her lying on my chest and looking in the prime of life.

Oh, well that's wonderful news indeed! More than a little odd, certainly, but wonderful nonetheless.

Yes, it was an odd surprise but a welcome one after last night.

It's great that you got your cat back. :-)

Thank you. I feel a bit silly posting about it, but she was a very dear companion as a child.

There's no reason to feel silly. I know if my dog Blue just showed up out of nowhere I'd be happy about it. We got him when I was a year old and he died when I was almost 12.

Quite. I suppose I'll have to get things for her, an apartment is quite different than an estate in Kent or our living accommodations in Egypt.

I'm sure there's a pet store around here somewhere.

I'll figure it out, you're sure to be correct.

Childhood pets are very precious. I'm glad that yours has returned to you.

Thank you. The island isn't entirely gloom and doom it would seem.
