I fear I have made some grievous mistakes in my past that I cannot rectify now. Though I fear also that here with this writing method my every thought is being perused by the public, were it possible to make and keep those thoughts private- I had thought a man's personal thoughts were sacred even in death but it is not so.

I dislike that I cannot trust to pour my thoughts out anymore, but this infernal contraption will broadcast myself to the world. These last few will not matter, I don't suppose.

Accept my apologies. There are many things I do not understand.

Commit them to books.

I'm afraid that didn't work. The last time I did that it was apparently published.

Then to the wilds. Trees keep secrets far better than humans.

Speak with the trees?

Aye. If not the trees then the animals. They do not share what you say. Only the elven fair can hear their voices anyway, and elves and trees and animals have much more to speak about than the tales of men.

No. I was raised in part by them.

But you have- you are from some fantastical place beyond my comprehension, I am certain. That is fascinating. Certainly you are a man, but you must have a wonderful story to tell!

I have stories. None of them wonderful. Though epic in nature.

There may be many that disagree, though I suppose it is a matter of opinion.

Forgive my rudeness, I didn't introduce myself after all of this time. My name is Nick. Nick Carraway.

Jolly nice to meet you, Dagnir. It really is a pleasure.

There should be an option to mark the entries as 'private', or filter them only to certain people, if that helps.

I appreciate your help, Mr. Tucker, but it is difficult enough for me to work out how to use these things to their most basic levels, let alone complicated things like filtering.

If you see Mr. Gatsby could you just- check that he is well? Though do not mention me.

I'll show you sometime. Until then, maybe pen and paper would work best. Keep it locked in a wee drawer or something.

Aye, no worries. He was going down to the club to see what he could do with the place, if you want to track him down though.

From past experience, a bottle of something alcoholic and a "sorry I'm a twat" card seem to fix most domestics.

Domestic?

Oh good Heavens.

It is best to not- I should leave him alone. I don't believe he will want my company and certainly not a gift from me.

Aye, you had a wee tiff from the sounds of it?

Ah, give him some time to stew it over, but I think you'll be surprised by the power of the apology-gift.

I really don't think that will cover it. I have hurt him deeply. Unintentional though it was. Poor Gatsby.

It's a terrible situation. I feel as though I have betrayed him without meaning to. Well, that is what I have done.

I just remember some of the things I wrote- I can't even tell you.

Tell me you're jesting, old chap? Please?

I know you're not, though I'm trying to convince myself otherwise.

Well, you see why my dear Gatsby is upset, can't you? I've been such a cad.

Sorry, I'm not joking. If I'd known I'd meet you both one day- well, look, where I come from, you're fic I was under the impression that the novel was a work of fiction.

It's not your fault, it's not as if you said anything slanderous. It's a bit shit when everything is out there for the public to see, I know that first hand, it takes getting used to- but you do get used to it. In my time, there is hardly any information that can really be considered 'private' anymore.

No, it is a pity it isn't, really. But if everyone has read it then this is really a hideous mess.

I don't remember what I said now. I remember speaking well of him, but I suppose it is really subjective. And in his case it is not something that can be passed over lightly.

If you see him- I don't know. Just be sure he stays sensible. He is my dearest friend, despite everything else.

I wouldn't have thought everyone would have read it. Some people, but not everyone. There are people here who are from before your time, or from different worlds where there was no such book and so on. I know it's confusing. You get used to it. Sort of.

My Grey's going to look in on him. She's got better people skills than me. I think.
