[Posted almost as soon as he hears Lu on the radio in this thread. He can't work out how to make the radio reply when he wants it to, but he's somehow activated voice-to-text posting]

	Yes! It's a good start, at any rate. I can read it. The large rectangle at the bottom will space your words properly, and the arrow on the left will give you upper case - but if you need to reply to someone as urgently as it seems, just do it as best you can for now. 	At my school we're all required to use quills! I am much better with them. I have to do this typing very slowly and carefully. It took a while to work it out at first. Your sister is here? Poor girl. I never can figure out the radio, I just hear it on occasion ~~like that rude pirate fellow the other~~ and then I can speak back to them, usually. (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	We never had any of those machines back home, so I have never seen a telephone that wasn't like this. What is odd about it? I have set up a means of magical letter delivery for those of us who prefer paper, but it is useful to have one of the machines all the same, so that you can read any important news. 	They are usually attached to the wall by a wire and they are larger and not made of glass and you cannot type on them or use the radio That is an odd button I must say I should apologise for including all this learning to type nonsense in the messages for yourself Black youre being a very good sport about it all (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

I don't mind a bit. I know how difficult it is at first, and it's horrid if someone thinks you uneducated for your typing when really you are nothing of the sort. Besides, I'm of the opinion that in a place like this we British fellows should try to look out for one another a little.

Down by the rectangle that makes the spaces you should be able to see the punctuation, too. Try those buttons if you like.

While I think to mention it, if your sister is young and you want to allow her to have a telephone, there is a way of blocking messages with improper content. It may surprise you to know that such a thing is necessary, but it is. I had it set up for Sirius, because he is only seven.
