I know the basics from Darcy, but I've fought against people who wield swords and won.

I broke their swords, though.

Well, this is not a modern sword. But if you could keep from breaking it, that would be good. I will need it for some upcoming nuptials.

We'll work on your swordsmanship. Nothing against Mr. Darcy of course, but I doubt his method has been battle tried.

Well aged? That might be difficult. I mean, I do have some leftover Adamant and I can work it into a sword. The metal would be newly made but made with very old and forgotten techniques...

Or I could let you borrow one. It actually is old. Showed up on the station with some of my belongings one morning.

Well, it might be able to be faked. It is for my to be son-in-law to present to my daughter, and as far as I know he is not of Viking descent. So, the borrowed one would not work.

If it's a gift, maybe best not to borrow. I'll make something up. Given how old the metals roots are, I think it will work. I'll try to make it fitting.

Could you do me a small favour in return? Could you bring me something to eat and drink while I work? I sort of get lost in my work when I'm making things like this and I forget to eat. And drink... And sleep.

Not for a while, they haven't picked a date yet.

I have a bunch of people that hate me back home, simply because I am old. Some just hate me because I'm a vampire. Then there is a little group that try to save worlds. Most of them can't be killed, so I don't have to die for them.

Yes, I was made in the ninth century AD. That doesn't surprise me that you have met one, vampires are buried in the lore of a lot of worlds. Was he a good saxophone player?

Besides meals and hydration, are you sure there is nothing else you would need?

I find that is also the case in a lot of worlds. I suppose other worlds have their vampire hunters there too. Not many vampires as old as I am.

That depends on what other materials you might want added to the sword. I could add some Orikalk detailing but if you want any other metals or fabrics used, maybe bring those.

I think most of the hunters in my time were working with the bad guys. Never met one as far as I know. And the Vampire I knew didn't feed on blood which I thought was strange. He fed on essence. Emotions. He played music so he could bring emotions out of people.

I have some really old, well aged, leather for the hilt? But you have artistic liberty, sortof.

The other vampire here is like that. But he's not very old. It is a safer way to feed, I would guess. Hunters are generally always misguided.

Well yes, I don't want it phallic anymore than swords already are. But as long as it's roughly shaped like a Norse sword I'll be happy.

It is just the two of us. There was one and a half more, but they're both gone now.

It's for Dan to gift to my daughter Brenna, and she is a fierce fighter. Has been all her life. She will be gifting my sword to him, because my late husband did not carry a sword, but he made mine. Unfortunately the swords that Magnus and I had swapped are not here.

Yes. Have you met my family? Swords, spear, guns, hammer, axe, shock staff, knife throwing, crossbow. It's hard to escape it and it's good to know I can protect myself.
