I have been here for several days now, and I appreciate all the kindness that has been shown to me as I have tried to adjust to this very different place.

I do, however, need to find a permanent place to stay. Mr. Methos has been very kind to me in letting me stay with him, but I very much need to find my own place so that he may have his bedroom back.

Does anyone have a spare room? I would be glad to do cooking and cleaning in return for letting me stay with you.

There are spare rooms in a lot of the apartments. I just looked around until I found one I liked the look of.

We can do that? Just choose a place to live? What if there are other people there? It won't bother them? Perhaps I shall look tonight.

How are you feeling?

I guess it would help if you got along with the people you're living with if you care about things like that. But in the end it's up to you.

The same. Worse? Better. Thanks.

You? Settling?

I suppose I shall try to find someone I get along with. But if I have my own room, I suppose it doesn't matter much.

Are you sure? Are you eating?

I am...trying to settle. Everything is so very strange here.

You'll still have to deal with running into people in the living areas and that's never fun if you don't like your roommates. Believe me, I know firsthand.

Yes. I'm eating. I promise. I told you: I can look after myself. I've been doing it for long enough.

Finding a room will probably help. It's good to have your own space.

Yes, I suppose that is true. I will look, and see what I can find.

Yes, yes, I know that you can take care of yourself. You have told me that before, but it doesn't change the fact that I like looking after you. You are my friend. And I like cooking for you.

Yes, I hope that it will.

I don't want to give you the wrong idea

You cooking for me would feel kinda intima

Sure. Maybe we can eat together again once you're settled somewhere.

We don't have to, if you don't want.

I don't want to bother you, or be in the way.

I think it would be nice, too.

But I know you have much to do here, and probably enjoy your time alone, so please tell me if you wish for me to leave you alone.

Before you go, help me remember a recipe I once ate on Knossos? I know it had shrimps and honey.

Ah, yes. Shrimp with honey glaze? I can show you how to make that.

Can you find garos here?

If my memory's correct, I think fermented fish sauce should come close.

Then I shall show you how to make it before I leave. It is really quite simple, as dishes go. Shrimp, garos, olive oil, honey, oregano, and some pepper is all that you need to make it.

Have you found a room yet? I would offer to let you stay with us, but our flat is pretty full right now with all four of us and the babies on the way.

How are you adjusting, by the way? I know it can be so very overwhelming.

I'm not sure we've spoken, have we? My name is Briseis.

I don't think so? I hardly know the older Peter. They're the same, but still two separate beings.

Not exactly. I suppose somewhere deep inside he's the same as my Peter. But he doesn't remember me or know me- he comes from another reality, as far as I can understand.

That must be very strange for you. I would think, though, that if they're the same person, he'd have a soft spot for you, too.

I'm not sure what he might think of me. I dint know how much he's changed from my Peter, you know? It could certainly be very strange!

If you still need a place I'm the only one in my apartment, you're welcome to take a bedroom. No cooking or cleaning is required, but I won't try to stop you from doing it either.

You're welcome and it's no trouble. If we're going to be sharing an apartment you can call me Connor, not sir.

I don't doubt that you are, just don't feel obligated to do so.

Of course, Mr. Connor, whatever you like.

Oh, but I shall anyway. I must make myself useful somehow.

Mr. Connor? What am I getting myself into?

You make yourself useful by being you. If that means you want to cook and clean, so be it, but I don't want an irrational pregnant woman on my case for 'mistreating' you.

I actually have little doubt of that, it was more of an official protest for the record than anything else. These modern types don't understand how easy they've had it sometimes.

This should be interesting, I'll introduce you to the dishes of my homeland and a few modern ones. It'll be an exchange.

It seems a bit that way to me as well. And they seem rather quick to condemn those who do not agree with them completely.

I should enjoy that, thank you.
