Well, that was fun.

Thank you all for being so respectful of my property, and to those of you who helped me do a quick sweep for evidence of anything weird left behind. I think we've left the bad eggs behind on the island It's greatly appreciated.

Did you bring any cats here?

That's like asking if the pope is catholic.

We can call one of them Jess!

I thought that was the plan.

Exactly why I made sure to grab the black & white one.

At least you only grabbed four.

Yes, four!

You have more cats than me! We should let them meet.

Four is a modest number for me, I was trying to be sensible.

Yes, we definitely should do that.

I've got three. Raf, Frak and Mari. I've got dogs too.

Yeah, I heard about the dogs. Nine, right?

We know one of them is now called Jess, but maybe you can help me think of names for the others.

Yes. It's great. I never have to be alone. And if I'm out with Finn, I know Pop's got lots of company.

I can do that! What do they look like?

Pets are great for that, and they're so loyal.

The fluffy black & white one is Jess.

Then there's a little ginger female, a tortoiseshell female, and an all black male.

The ginger one could be Apricat and the black one Bagheera.  Or you could name them after their toes?  Poly, Six, or Seven?

Or use another language.  I named my Frakas because it's Lithuanian for most formal or white tie.   He kind of looks like he's dressed up.

Apricat? Because it’s the color of an apricot but a cat? That’s clever.

You’re good at this. I used to have a cat called Snotface.

Yes, a pun name.

Did he sneeze a lot?

I like it. That’s a definite contender.

Yeah, one of those joke names that stuck.

If you like joke names, you could always name the black cat Pearl or Snowball or Marshmallow.

Well, I think the black one is going to be Ninja. And I like Apricat a lot too for our ginger friend.

I did also have a snowball - but he was a fluffy white fur ball obviously named.

Aww. He sounds adorable.

Yeah, I keep thinking my boys would like it, if they ever turn up.

Jess, Apricat, Ninja... poor Torty has no name. I'll just call her Torty for now, and it'll probably end up sticking.

Torty's cute. Or Shelly. Or Michelle. Or Rochelle.

Shelly is nice. I have this odd idea that cats seem to like the 'sh' sound.

What is their preference? Classical, jazz, heavy metal?

[info]abigail_hobbs

Classical, which is lucky for me since heavy metal would be hard to play on a harpsichord.

I do, a little. Apologies, the island was a long time ago for me.
