Does anyone know a place I might find a noise machine? I'm having trouble regulating day and night and think something like that might help.

I can totally help with that. What kind of noises are you looking for?

Probably city, that's what I'm most used to

I'll see what I can find. If I can't get exactly what you're looking for, my sister can probably code it.

Thank you. It doesn't have to be complicated, just something that transitions from day to night that I can leave on pretty continuously. I never realized before how much I relied on the background noise to keep myself in the right routine.

I've grown up on the station so I know all of the different sounds. It's been interesting, relying strictly on clocks to tell you the time.

Unfortunately I can't seem to get myself in to that habit and without any kind of other indication anymore it's been difficult.

The noise machine will definitely help. Then maybe you can start to slowly learn the sounds of the station and you won't need it so much anymore.

That would be ideal. It's been louder lately, with more people waking up, but it still seems too quiet.

There are parts that are way too quiet. Like, you can hear your own heartbeat kind of quiet. It's really creepy.

I usually avoid those areas, I don't really do well there.

It must be really bad.

I'm Ashley, by the way.

Without any visual stimulation it all comes down to sound, without that too...it's kind of maddening.

Matt Murdock.

I can only imagine.

It's nice to meet you, Matt.

Thankfully those areas are usually easy enough to avoid. Hearing my own bloodflow is not something I'd like to experience often.

It's nice to meet you too Ashley.

Had to be even worse with heightened hearing.

I think I know where I can get a machine, and I'll see about those city sounds.

Thank you, I think it will be a great help.

I found a machine. My sister is going tto code it for the city sounds. Anything in particular?

My children can function as noise machines.

Are you having issues with sleep or a more general trouble?

I can certainly imagine so.

Some sleep, I've fallen in to routine of sleeping for three or four hours at a time, waking for five or six then sleeping again. It's gotten me a bit out of whack.

Three or four hours at a time isn't enough. Would you consider taking a sleep aid until you can get into a more regular rhythm?
