Well, that entirely depends what you mean by monster. I happen to know a couple of very friendly dragons. The mermaids are silly but altogether humane. Asheth temple cats, on the other hand, I'm not so sure... Well, at least, not the grumpy ones.

Quite sure. I'm as sane as anyone.

I tend to look at people out of the corner of my eye when they think my attention is otherwise occupied. I've found it's most revealing.

Exceedingly. But there's shelter and it seems to be relatively safe, so.

I think there's one grocery store with the power up and running. I don't know about coffee shops or bakeries.
