LOL means laughing out loud. I chuckled. It's an acronym. I'm not from this time either, if that makes you feel better. I'm just friendly, I guess. But you don't have to take the term family so literal!

I am not taking it literal. I consider some people my family which are not related to me. I just don't consider strangers family. Is that normal?
