Okay, so I was thinking about picking up a night or two at the lounge. For old times sake, because... well there are reasons besides this one, but I miss it.

Anyway, I was wondering, if anyone would come see it if I should do a 20s-30s-40s set first, or since 'tis the season to be jolly, if I should do a Christmas carol set.

It comes with costume changes, set changes, maybe, warm cider, and other drinks. And any snack things I can lay my hands on.

Any votes either way?

What kind of lounge?

This specific one used to be a strip joint, I think. I just fitted it with a better sound system, and cleaned it up a bit. Though the pole is still in the middle of the stage.

But uh... It's kinda Vegas style? I'm not as glitz and glamour as Wayne Newton, but I did have my fair share of patrons at Ridgeway.

Why not both? A vintage Christmas.

Because if I do Christmas it'll definitely be vintage. Dean Martin, Bing Crosby, and Frank Sinatra being my favorites.

Bing's more my era. I know Sinatra... Dean Martin I'm not so sure.

Well Bing sange the song that I was thinking of with Doris Day, and Dean Martin sang it with a few other women. The man I was seeing in Ridgeway was more of a Dean Marin than he was a Bing.

What is it that makes one more of a Dean Martin?

It's hard to describe. Dean was nicknamed the King of Cool, and I guess that would properly describe Tony. He had a certain charismatic way with the ladies.

Interesting. Well, I'll add him to my list of things to look up. I'll catch you all up one of these days.

He is definitely worth it. The other singer from the Rat Pack is too, Sammy Davis Jr.

Your Daughter-in-Law said I should do both, as in both sets. Was that what you were saying? Or just vintage Christmas songs?

I agree with my father-in-law. Do both. People could even come in period clothes. Or Christmas sweaters.

I'm sure someone on the island could help with snacks too.

That would be a long set. You don't think people would get tired of me before the end?

That would be awesome. Lounge snacks are more like peanuts and pretzels I was thinking of adding a menagerie of chips.

A vintage Christmas wouldn't be any longer than regular Christmas. I don't think. Maybe older songs are longer?

Like bar snacks. Chips should be easy to find.

Oh no I thought you were saying do the 20s-30s-40s set and the christmas one.

Yep! Also if there's a dick in the crowd that feels like chucking food, there's nothing squishy.

You could do that too. Half of one, half the other.

So definitely no tomatoes. Kidding! No one would throw things.

That wouldn't be a bad closer... Alright you have me sold.

Never say never. We had a few jerks in the crowd at Ridgeway. Fortunately I knew the bouncer.

Maybe they were just trying to start a food fight.

Oh, someone like that.

Just stay away from the man in the spire here and you shouldn't run into anyone like that.

Well, Ridgeway was basically a zoo for humans.

Oh I have been giving Isengard wide berth.

Oh no, it was a resort. But we worked, and were there for the entertainment for people that were bused in by the owner of the resort.

I think that's a great way to start out the opening of the lounge. I am so excited. I think I'm going to do every other night and just do a Christmas show and some show tunes.

I got the wiring fixed, and I made it so the acoustics are better. The pole is still in the middle of the stage, but I figure that's better than a big hole, aesthetically and safety wise. But I figured we could work our sets around it, the stage is pretty sizable all the way around.

I think I'm going to pull Jessica Rabbit out of the closet. Because I miss Tony.

Actually if you took the pole out, you could always nail a circular board around it and paint it so that way it wouldn't be in the way. I'm sure Finn could help with that.

That's cool.

I tried that, it's supported in the ceiling and in the floor in such a way that we'd have to go through two floors up to get it out. I was thinking of maybe putting lights on it, to make it more of a decorative thing than a stripper pole.

It was one of the reasons I went from being Fuzz to Legs.
