Calling all veterans
The U.S. Marine Corps usually celebrates its birthday by having balls/parties as close to 10 November as possible. Since as far as I know the only members of the Corps on the Island are my uncle Jake and myself I thought we could hold a 'joint' celebration of everyone's respective service. There'd be food, cake, dancing, all the normal stuff. I was thinking we'd have it on November 7th.

What do you say?

Oh yeah, forgot about Armistice Day. We didn't really think about it much considering the Corps birthday was the day before. I don't remember celebrating Veteran's Day growing up. But that works!

Well... you were born here, so what might sound mental to some, will probably be acceptable to you.

I was on an island like this one, and I ended up sort of jumping about in time, so I would just wake up in different periods of my life, especially times of high stress. I would mentally appear and disappear from the time I was in the army. Refusing to follow orders essentially - didn't remember what they were since I was mentally from a different time.
