I am certain I can safely speak for Jacob when I say, of course we will.

Kenway is correct, we will absolutely stay with you. Is there anything else we could do?

How are you with study? Though I don't know where to even begin. All I can instinctively think of is to huddle up. To watch each other's backs. But also that maybe everyone on the station being in one place might make us an easy target.

I have a bad feeling in the pit of my stomach.

Study?

Edward is certainly clever but neither of us are bookish academic types, we wouldn't be even if we had some better understanding of the more modern world. We're more prone to luck with 'field studies' as they call it, but I don't imagine you'd appreciate us trying to keep up the man in question, especially as my instinct would be to provoke him into showing more of his hand.

Well, that is why I bring up studying. Hopes that it would keep you, either of you, from hunting him down. He is very cruel when provoked. There was a Crow suspended in tar, that what was in the box he sent me.

But to answer Edward's question, is I have mountains of books about the supernatural, and I have someone going to bring more. I don't read as fast as I used to, but I'm hoping that, with what little we know about Higgs, that there will be something in at least one of them. If we find out what he is, or his source of power, then we find a way to end his torment.

A crow? That seems very personal. To all three of us.

I am not the quickest reader, but I know my letters and numbers. I would be willing to study but it is not my strongest suit. I would much rather go after him but you are aware of that.

I am not fond of not answering that particular threat with one of our own, but honestly, I can't imagine how either of us would manage to bring him down without a long-distance rifle and an awful lot of planning.

I am also not fond of the thought of drowning in tar, so drowning in lore has to be the better option.

My thoughts exactly Edward. I mean a threat against me is one thing, I banned him from the booze... Pulling you two into it is just dirty.

That's the rough thing about facing something new to us, usually they aren't always something new to someone else. Once we narrow it down, hopefully we will have a weapon we can use against him. If I have one, I'm willing to put it in both of your hands. I tried

It appears he knows a great deal about us and I would wager he knows even more about everyone on this station. He has done his research. I suppose it is our turn to do the same.

I do not see why a blade through the throat shouldn't kill him but I don't understand entirely what makes him so different.

The issue there is getting close to him, something that sounds like it might be difficult.

I don't know his scope, but he's a mind reader. So anything you do you'd have to do without thinking about it, otherwise he's likely to have a way to counter it. But seeing the way you both move, as if it's as natural as breathing, you might be able to pull it off, you just have to have the right weapon to do so.

That does change things... A mind reader? How is anyone supposed to win against that?

There are ways, you sing a song in your head while holding deeper thoughts from the surface of your mind. Preferably something that would annoy him enough that he wouldn't delve deeper. But there are other ways too.

With a man like Higgs it is best to follow that feeling in the pit of your stomach.

The man I had you help me guard, was the one that made me human again.
