Hello,

I am aware that you don't know who I am. I was pointed in your direction by a young lady named Sophia. She told me that you were setting up a radio station? My name is Joe O'Hara. I am new here, and I am a radio broadcaster. I'm very much interested in hosting some form of show here on the station. I was wondering if you were still interested or had made any progress with your station?

Joe O'Hara.

Hello Joe,

I got pretty far with it before I got too round fit in air-ducts and narrow spaces. I think the only thing left to do is to catch the frequencies of the phones, or the overhead speakers. Or both.

As for me running any kind of show or anything, I don't know if I could. My sleep schedule is just getting on track. Maybe after Jacob is about a year old? But I could come down and show you how to run frequencies, and show you were it's set up of course.

Miss Lisinski,

Thank you for your prompt response. I'd like to congratulate you, first of all. I can't imagine that raising a family here would be easy.

If you are able to show me how to run things I'd like to get started. Your help would very much be appreciated.

Joe O'Hara.

Mr. O'Hara,

You're very welcome. And thank you! He keeps me and his Dad very busy, but this place isn't so bad. It's better than back home. And Jacob wouldn't exist if it wasn't for this place.

Okay, how about I meet you at the coffee shop in the food court, say around, one o'clock? If I run late it'll mean nap time is not going as planned, but I won't stand you up.

Miss Lisinski,

Silver linings.

Sure, I can meet you there. I'm still learning my way around this place. It's a lot bigger than I'm used to so if I am late, you'll know why.

Mr. O'Hara,

Have to find them somewhere or this place gets depressing really fast.

Oh yeah, it's easy to get lost. I did once my boyfriend had to come find me. So I'll wish you luck, and I'll sit tight, because you didn't stand me up.

Miss Lisinski,

I suppose I am safer here than I was in London, but I had hoped to remain there, doing my job.

Thank you.

Joe O'Hara.

Miss Lisinski,

No, I am from Illinois, in the United States of America. But I was working in London.

I'll see you soon.

Joe O'Hara.

Mr. O'Hara,

Hello neighbor! I'm from a little town in Kansas called Jericho.

I'm looking forward to it.

Miss Lisinski,

Really? I'm from Farmersville, Illinois. Out of curiosity, what year was it when you left your home and found yourself on the island?

Joe O'Hara.

Mr. O'Hara,

I've been through there on a field trip with my class.

That's kind of a long story. I was somewhere else before I was on the island. A resort. But before that it was 2006 when I was taken from Jericho. And 2010 when I was taken from the resort.

Miss Lisinski,

I can't say I really understand what that must have been like, but you have my sympathies. On the count of vanishing so many times, and having to visit Farmersville, Illinois. I wonder how much it's changed since I was there?

Joe O'Hara.

Mr. O'Hara,

Leaving Jericho wasn't so bad, bad unspeakable things had happened there, and I don't miss it. I kind of miss the resort, but I'd been there just long enough to build a life, a little. But here? I've had a more of a life here than I had in either place. Beside having a job and owning my own home.

Haha, we really only stopped long enough for kids that couldn't hold it to go to the bathroom. When were you last there?

Miss Lisinski,

Well, I haven't seen my home town since the 1930's. It was 1940 when I vanished and found myself here. The future is a very fascinating and scary place to be.

Joe O'Hara.

Mr O'Hara,

Oh wow, you are far from home. But believe it or not, Farmersville hasn't changed much. Or it hadn't for me anyway. You were in London in 1940? Does that mean you were brought ... Had the Blitz happened?

Miss Lisinksi,

I feel almost as if I have abandoned them. If you know what it's like, I can imagine you might feel the same about being somewhere safer.

Anyway, I will speak to you soon.

Joe O'Hara.

Mr. O'Hara,

I did. But then I went back, and came back to the resort. Life restarted when I went back, like I hadn't missed a thing. But I'll explain more tomorrow.

See you soon,

Heather Lisinski
