[Sent during his conversation with John]

I've got a bit of a situation here. I've swapped bodies with the self-proclaimed master of the dark arts, and if the lunascope is correct, unless we have switched back by Saturday he's going to be turning.

He's asking me if there's anything he should know, and I'm stalling because I don't want to cause a massive panic without having an actual plan in place to try to help ease said panic.

So...

????????

HELP

Are you okay with him knowing or do you want to wait til Saturday morning in case you switch back?

I'm not really okay with him knowing. I don't particularly trust him, and all his talk of using the dark arts to protect people against 'demons' and what have you... I just don't know how well he's going to react, or if it's something he would 'let go' once we switched back, if that makes sense?

But at the same time, maybe it's not fair to not give him some warning? He's going to start feeling like shit really soon. And if he questions the scars

Maybe middle ground, go one more day, make a real plan. Tell him tomorrow evening if you still haven't switched back. There's not much he can do about it before you switch back unless he wants to hurt himself, so we'll just have to watch him after. I don't care what he wants to think, if he tries anything, we'll protect you. The people here won't take well to anyone trying to hurt someone who hasn't done anything wrong.

Okay. I don't really know what sort of a plan to make beyond what I would do myself. There's not much I can do to make the actual transformation less painful easier on him. But... get him as far away as possible, and if Maryanne and/or Ruby will still buddy the wolf... is there anything else?

How long does this sort of thing usually last?

Thank you. Really, thank you doesn't even cut it. I'm very glad that you are here, even if I'm not really meant to know you yet.

I can add some extra protections to wherever we bring him, in case he reacts differently than you do. That way neither one of you has to worry about anyone else getting hurt. I can lock off the entrances to the park, put up some repelling charms so anyone who gets too close will leave.

It varies. Usually a week or two it seems, but I've also seen it as short as a few days and sometimes it lasts over a year.

You haven't done it yet, but eventually you're going to be very kind to me, I'm glad to return the favor.

A bit later.

I told him - actually, he already knew, it seems to be a bit more than just a body switch. And I gave him some options, but he wants to go with your plan. Plus, Maryanne says that she will go Big Cat and give the wolf the runaround.

Bloody hell. Well. Take it a day at a time, I suppose.

I'm... really happy to hear that, actually.

That seems to happen sometimes, more lately than usual. I can do that then, I'll start with the wards Friday night and I can patrol on Saturday just in case. I'll tuck Ruby away this time, best not to throw too much at him.

If it helps, at least neither of you can end up pregnant, that seems to make it last longer.

I'm glad.

I could get him really drunk and find someplace to hide him away, in New York? That way he would question everything he remembered as the wolf. That way he stays in the dark.

I forgot about the door. Would he even change through there, if it wasn’t a full moon there at the same time it apparently is here? Probably not a question you can answer without just trying and seeing.

He would. I know you and George are different are very different werewolves... But going through a door didn't keep him from the change. So it's probably safe to assume you couldn't either. And he was asking Bucky about it earlier.

Okay. Well, it’s a thought, and a very tempting one. But I don’t know, I think I should tell him. I’m not sure it’s fair to put him through all that without an explanation just because I’m scared.

Do you think it would be easier to keep him / others safe here or in New York?

It's up to you, I have no problem dolling up and coaxing him into a bar, under the ruse of some afternoon delight. Because I totally understand not wanting to tell people.

I don't know. I really don't.

I don’t know what he thinks about werewolves. He sounds like a sort of vigilante at home, ‘protecting’ people from demons and so on. So I am worried, about what he’ll do once we switch back. But would he see me as less of a threat if I’m honest and have a plan for him? Because he’ll probably know. I can... remember things I shouldn’t remember already. Memories of his, I assume. He’ll probably at least see enough to make him suspect.

Okay. I suppose on the station we can at least contact everyone quickly, clear an entire wheel at short notice if we have to. Tell them all to go through the door if we have to. Can’t exactly evacuate the whole of NYC.

I could poke him and see? That way you don't risk anything, and we get answers.

Yeah, if anything we could shut up the animals in the farm biodome and let him run around up there. If he cooperates.

Well, I can offer the same I offered you, and the wolf wouldn't be happy but any apartment that isn't being used, if he doesn't want to risk it.

Neville says that he can lock off the entrances to one of the parks, and charm it so that if anyone gets close they will be compelled to leave again.

I'll give him the two options, so it feels more like a 'choice'.

That sounds like a plan, if he wants to go with it. Some people could fight the urge though, we had something like it around a building that was on the island, people still climbed it, so might want to put a blanket warning on the network.

He’s good with that plan.

What should the warning say?

Is it weird that I'm kind of still looking forward to it?

It depends on how detailed you want to get? A lot of people that were on the island before knew about you and a few others being werewolves. Also, we need to pick which park.

No, Im glad that you are and it doesn’t feel like a chore! It makes me feel less guilty about asking for help.

I don’t know. I’m really anxious about telling everyone all at once. Can we say the facts without saying WHO the werewolf is? Then we can see if anyone reacts really badly to the idea or not before they figure out the who.

It feels like it's been forever since I just.. Was. Does that make sense?

We can do it however you want to do it. I'm not saying you have to out yourself. We can be as vague as you want to be. We can say something as simple as an experiment is being done.

Yeah, it does to me anyway.

Sorry, I know people keep saying that it's more accepted here, and that people will be fine about it, but... it's just been like this huge secret for so long, and I know what people in my own world really believe, and it makes me feel like I'm going to be sick when I think about telling everyone all at once.

Do you think you're going to miss it?

No no, I get it. I dreaded for anyone to know what I was back home. To the point that either people saw me as one, or the other. They never saw me shift. And only a few people knew I was both.

I don’t know. Logically I know it should be a welcome break, but logic doesn’t always come into this things.

I wish I could say that I was surprised about how things were in your world too.

Don't I know it. Logic doesn't always exist here.

People are afraid of what's different in every world it seems.

That's terrible, Remus. I don't know if I can do much.

Maybe ask Lucy's Mum? I have a hellhound and she made him listen. I don't think he would be this peaceful otherwise.

Otherwise, I agree with Neville. Remember how you said we were three and he was one. I can ask Mum, Jake and his family and Lucy too. They would protect you too.

Her name is Katherine. She is Loki's daughter.

Yes, they would. You cannot help what you are and they know that. Besides, there is nothing wrong with being a werewolf as long as you do not hurt anyone.

Okay, and you’re sure she won’t freak out about the werewolf thing? I suppose if she didn’t freak out about ‘hell hound’...

Thank you. Maryanne made a point I hadn’t considered though. I’ve been assuming John will listen and do as he’s told, but maybe he won’t. We have to be prepared for that possibility.

I don't think so. Most of us who grew up on the island do not mind it. We grew up with vampires and ghosts and werewolves.

That is true. He also only just arrived and we do not really know his world. Do you know if werewolves exist in his world?

Okay. Right. That does make me feel a bit less like being sick.

I don't know, but he replied again and just said "I know what you are" before I told him. And he didn't seem shocked or like he didn't believe in it.
