Prayer to the Norse Gods
[OoC: Spoken in Old Norse]

[Greetings to you, O Gods, whom I love and honor with all my being, You who are wise and all-knowing, strong and merciful,
I find myself asking for your assistance yet again. My sister is ill, O Gods, and I know not how to heal her.
Herbs and poultices will not draw the illness from her, and I cannot see a wound that needs lanced and drained,
Yet she sickens and worsens. I beg your help, not for my sake, but for my Brenna. I cannot fight this battle for her, and she weakens.

If I might ask another boon, I would also ask if there is some way we could learn the tongue of this place.
I have no knowledge of the language spoken while we live amongst you, O Gods, and the stars,
But I would know it if I could, so that I may talk with the people in the little box, or the people who visit Mam,
And so that Brenna may thank the people who help her, and so that my Hródolf can talk to... everyone he charms.

I beg your help, O Gods, in the only way I know how. If you are coming to visit with Mam any time soon, I can also cook dinner if you wish.]
