Letter for AJ

[Stuck to the door of the barn on wheel three using sealing wax.]

Miss AJ,

It seems that we are in the habit of repeatedly missing each other. I wanted to leave you a short note just to thank you for all the care you have given to my horse. It is greatly appreciated. If there is anything I can do for you in return, please do tell me and I shall do my very best to oblige you.

Kindest regards,
Mr Fitzwilliam Darcy

[The letter is stuck to the barn door with something that he probably doesn't want to know, or smell. And the handwriting is that of someone who isn't used to holding a pen. But the letter itself smells strongly of apples.]

Mr Darcy,

Well your Miss Annie has me on a better schedule than I used to be, back to getting up with the chickens since she's used to getting fed rather early. And she don't make a real big mess in her stall, so clean up is a breeze. I wish all the animals were so nice.

How are you with farm work? Because it's near about harvest time, and I could use another set of hands, cause I ain't figured out these gadgets up here yet, short of changing night to day and altering the seasons, and I'd rather not foul up a whole season's worth of crops. Plus getting your hands dirty is pretty darn satisfying, if I do say so myself.

Anyway, that's all I can think of. Sorry about the handwriting, I didn't realize I hadn't done this since I got here and writing was done very differently where I come from.

Feel free to come up to the farm any time!

[Again, stuck to the barn door with the sealing wax.]

Mrs Barton-Stark,

I am glad that Annie is treating you respectfully, and that the work is not a great additional burden to you.

To speak truthfully, I am entirely inexperienced with farm work. Or indeed any form of manual labour. That being said, I am certainly much more used to living in the country than within these confines of metal and technology, so perhaps you are not too far wrong with regards to 'getting your hands dirty'.

Provided that there are some simple tasks I can assist you with, rather than being more of a hindrance than a help, I should be happy to do what I can.

I shall indeed, and thank you,
Mr Fitzwilliam Darcy

Mr Darcy,

She's real sweet. Could have used her on the island, perhaps she would've taught the wild horses some manners. And the work's no burden, I go out there to make sure Kat's critters have plenty of food, though she does the feeding with them.

Well I'll be honest, ain't none of it hard to learn. The setting up was hard, but that parts done now, and I'm more than a little used to it. But if you're willing I'm ready to teach. Just wear you some getting dirty clothes and keep an open mind.

I don't know if Ashley told you much, to be honest I don't know how much she knows about me. I'm not exactly a social creature, I work hard and I go home to my babies. But I'm a shifter. If you don't know what that means, basically I am able, thanks to some Island magic, to change from a little petite blonde woman in to a 19 hands high working horse. I just want you to be prepared. I'll warn you so you can turn your back when I'm about to.

It sounds crazy, I know. But, well, when I'm not living in outer space, or on a magic Island, I live in a place called Equestria where I'm actually a pony.

Goodness gravy, that's a lot. But in case I'm a horse when you come up, how you can tell me from the others is I have three apples on each side of my hindquarters.

Anyway I'll let you digest all that. Sorry, at least my handwriting is getting better?
