What would it take to fix my knee? Could you do it here?

I'd want to do a detailed scan and see where you're at with it right now compared to last time. We'd be starting over since all my records are back on the island.

But yes we could fix it with the tech we have here. Why the change of heart?

You'll also need to take a piece of bone if I remember correctly.

Uh... I swapped powers with someone, and I realized in doing that that I miss being able to dance. And there are other things that I used to do that I can't anymore, not without it hurting a lot. And Doctor House said this was supposed to be temporary...

It was supposed to be temporary because Greg and I were going to fix it. Then you hightailed it to a different timeline.

A piece of bone is easy to get. It's the therapy and exercise to build the strength back afterward that will take time.

I had a little girl and a husband to get back to. And... I might have not exactly done it on purpose. It was ready, and the button was red and shiny.

The therapy I can handle. Been there done that, and I'll go back and do it all again.

And you could have gone back to the exact same instant you landed at when you went back. If Greg were here he'd read you the riot act for that stunt.

You mad scientist types never could resist shiny buttons.

Good.

I went through quite a few timelines to be able to find my way back to the right one. I'd meant for it only to be a test, and it turned out to be the whole ride. And trust me, I could feel my ears burning the moment you guys discovered I was gone. And it probably included him being sorry that he hadn't shackled me down to a gurney.

You are exactly right, which is why we make them red and shiny.

Well at least you got another kid out of the deal. Before you know it you'll be following in your mom's footsteps.

Just give me enough time to get my parents and siblings off the station if you do something that could blow it up.

No. I love my mother, and my brothers and sisters and would not trade them for the world. But. No.

The boom room is very well insulated. I'm not that much of a mad scientist.

You think she planned all those pregnancies? I doubt it.

Good to know. Even better would be to have the boom room off the station altogether or not have one at al

If I end up pregnant before my son is out of diapers I'm going to be mad at you.

We don't look to have explosions there are just precautions just in case. There are tons of crystals embedded in the walls. And it is a central most room. That is where the 'just in case' experiments are had. Lyla is very good at predicting the likelihood. Plus I am older and wiser.

Having it off the station is not practical unless we inhabit a planet. And that's more Tommy's area of expertise not mine.

Unless they're putting a gun to your head and forcing you to do the beast with two backs the only person you can blame is the one in the mirror. You are using protection with O'Hara, right?

Oh so putting it where it can potentially blow everything up instead of out on the perimeter. That makes me feel so much safer.

I wouldn't mind being on a planet again.

I am, but we both know that doesn't really matter if this place has a brain like the island. And you just jinxed me Richard Macintosh Barton-Stark.

A hull breach would be so much worse than a few interior empty rooms.

Yeah me either. I miss the rain.

I did no such thing. I don't believe in jinxes, they're just nice fictions people like to use to deny responsibility for their actions. If I'd used the 'W' word then you could blame me.

only for the poor sobs in the room, if it's properly isolated from everyone else.

And the wind, and the sun. The tech is cool but I want to be able to go outside and not die.

Tell that to my little brother. He sticks his foot in his mouth more times than I can count. And the first time, besides the time travel, anything has happened to me besides the random singing, was two weeks ago. And that's because I had to explain to Miguel how things work.

Oh my god, don't even. Richie.

There have been precautions made, I'm not an insane mad scientist. The radius around the boom room have been blockaded, and doors permasealed, and there are signs everywhere. I also check before every experiment.

There are the parks, but those don't get rain. I also miss JARVIS.

JR's always been special. He's like your uncle Jake on steroids or something. Most people don't attract that kind of attention no matter what they say.

All right, all right. Sorry, guess my inner House was coming out to play for a bit.

You haven't talked to Tony about getting him reinstalled somewhere?

Still I like to take precautions and just not talk about certain things whenever the place is obviously going crazy.

I miss him too...

No, but I share my work space. I don't know how that would work with Lyla and JARVIS in the same space.

You could have always just said you weren't going to talk about it. I promise I won't laugh if your boyfriend does knock you up.

He's the best doctor I've ever known. A good mentor and friend once you got past the cranky exterior.

Huh. Sounds like something to talk over with someone who knows more about it than me.

I promise to try not to laugh when you get some booty and you learn why we don't talk about it nine months later. Because you just jinxed yourself.

He was nice to me. I don't know what you're talking about.

I don't want to ask your Dad about it. Because... I don't know it seems kinda trival with everything else that's going on.

Like I said, don't believe in them. Besides, my sex life is almost monk-like.

He had a soft spot for short blondes.

The only other thing 'going on' is Mom Mary trying to outdo your mom in the kid department. Steve is doing better so that's not a big deal at the moment.

I guess that's one way to not be jinxed. I'm sorry.

Also he said I wasn't boring.

The baby thing is kind of a big deal.

Nothing to be sorry about, I've just been more interested in medicine than sex I guess. The right woman hasn't come along yet.

That's high praise from him.

It is, but they won't be showing up for a little while yet.

Maybe I'll ask.

So when do you want to start?

Sweet huh? I know my dad was a skirt chaser before he met momma but that's never interested me.

You did.

It never hurts to ask. You can always get that niece of yours to make you one. Lucas has been useful in the med-bay.

Come by tomorrow. Will do a full physical workout and take a bones sample.

I've only known him to be in love with your Moms and Dad. I was going by your other boyish influences.

Well... as nice as that is, it wouldn't be JARVIS. And besides, Lyla is in the lab so I don't really need an AI. I just want JARVIS.

Can't tomorrow Suni's and Uncle Jake's wedding is tomorrow. The day after?

Done. Invite that boyfriend of yours to come with, maybe his genetics expertise can help us speed the process along.

Hah no. Your brothers, and other boys your age.

He's a friend. Someone who's always been there through everything. And so far, he doesn't know about my son, or Miguel. Or Rachel and the boys.

I will, he has already said he wants to help.

He's got a great mind doesn't he?

Hey, they all went in knowing that it as just going to be sex. I didn't lead anyone on. Besides none of them had feelings for me anyway.

Friday was nice, but not the same.

He's teaching me genetics. I'm not entirely sure that's not foreplay.

True enough. I did have a bit of a crush for a while though.

There's something about that English accent.

Teaching you genetics? Is that what the cool kids call it these days?

Richard Stark you did not.

And his just snarky enough attitude.

He's seriously teaching me. But you know me, some of this stuff is exciting.

And still oblivious to this day. I'm heartbroken.

Nobody can snark like JARVIS.

Hell I think it's exciting too, in terms of what gene therapy from that time could accomplish.

It is not nice to pull the leg of a... somebody that has a bad knee.

Nope, and be helpful at the same time.

It makes me sad that I didn't save Henry's cord blood or stemsells from it or anything.

I was thirteen. I won't claim it lasted very long, but you were still a heartbreaker.

I meant getting stem cells, you never know what they could be used for down the road if something (which hopefully nothing ever will) were to happen.

Okay. That's before I had a crush on you. Like... way before.

I'll definitely talk to Miguel about it. If it's not to late, and it wont hurt him...
