For all the times they had hung out, they didn't really talk much about their powers. Chloe wasn't used to asking people, and honestly wasn't even sure how to explain or describe hers. When her hand stopped being solid, it was pretty obvious that she could at least phase, or go intangible. Whatever the word was. She was like Kitty Pryde. That was cool, at least, if Kitty Pryde could start fires and electrocute people if she was startled.
"He's both," Chloe said with a giggle, squeezing Amber's arm where it was looped through her. "Jay's real sweet. He's funny." He made her laugh; she liked that. And he was hot, too, but she kept that thought to herself.
She tipped her head. "I've seen Jason on the network but I don't think I've seen him?" She chewed the inside of her lip, "Oh the doubles guy is hot," she agreed, "As is the mechanic. Both of them, the one with the red hair and the one with the weird English accent." She ducked her head a little, "Ain't ever spoken to anyone though," she mumbled, "not many."
Without judgement, Chloe listened and thought about how hard that must have been. Charlie was old enough to have kids when she was born, Scott was fourteen when she was born, he could have been her daddy if he'd lived somewhere like Amber, maybe? That was a weird thought.
"That must be hard though," she said, "lookin' after kids when you're still technically a kid." She nudged Amber. "But you don't gotta do what your family did just 'cause that's what everyone else did." Amber wasn't a teenager anymore; therefore she'd already broken the trend.
