"Real expensive," Chloe said sadly, it was wasted money now, though. "And I dunno, maybe? I mean, it'd be good to have finished college but all things considered, can't think too much about it. Aint' like I get a choice to go back." She rubbed the back of her neck and then laughed when the conversation continued onto her brothers.
Her family were nice. Real nice. The best. "They're the best," she said, excitement crossing her face at the chance to talk a little more about her family. "I'm gonna have to introduce you. Scott makes the best steak in the history of cookin', an', like, he gives the best hugs." She grinned. "Like- you- I'm gonna have to introduce you to my family, 'cause like, they're so nice and they'll love you. And Scott'll cook for you."
She turned and looked over her shoulder. "You think we can get outta here soon?" she asked, "That'd be good, we can go see if there's any cake left in the cafeteria."
At the mention of cute boys, Chloe felt her cheeks burn and she ducked her head a little. "Yeah, yeah there are." She agreed, but was derailed when Amber mentioned kids. "Kids? But- but you're not even old enough."
