Chloe looked scandalised, "That wasn't what I meant," she said, "and you know it." She huffed out a breath, but thankfully it didn't look like Amber was actually insulted because the conversation moved on quickly enough.
She rolled her eyes at the flick and then the mention of her brother carrying Amber like a Disney princess. "Matt or Scott?" she asked, "'Cause they're both pretty strong. You got a preference? Also, they're gonna be fully dressed 'cause that's not something I ever need to see, just for the record."
She picked up a chocolate bar from the rack near the counter and read the ingredients, just for something to do with her hands before she shrugged. "Never really was one to throw tantrums," she said honestly. She'd been a dream child. "Lou-" The word caught in her throat and the chocolate bar fell through her hand, hitting the floor and bouncing a bit. "Aw hell," she muttered, ducking down to pick up the chocolate bar and replacing it on the counter. "Sorry."
A distraction was just what she needed; she could feel that clawing feeling at the back of her throat again, the guilt and grief just trying to force a breakdown so she nodded, her smile just a tiny bit watery. "Sounds good, yeah. I mean, not that I'm ever gonna get married, but it's good to plan for ever eventuality, right?"
