If asked, Derek wouldn't be able to say he expected this. What he expected, he still wasn't too sure. But this was just terribly out of this world that he was still trying to wrap his head around it all. Granted, the hospital care, transport and arrival were so close together he wasn't sure the morphine had quite left his system yet to really be able to grasp it all. But that wasn't really a terrible thing given the holes in his shoulder and leg.
Luckily it looked like someone with an inkling of just what he was here for had managed to get in touch. "Derek is just fine," He hadn't been called Mr Holt since school. "It's good to meet you." Sure, he'd rather not be here, but it was better to just make the best of what he could. It wasn't like it was Riley's fault he was here anyway. "That would be marvellously helpful really."
This place was especially big, and he was rather sure that he'd get a little overwhelmed, it might take more than one tour, but he was sure he could get additional help there where needed. And while he was relatively pain free and mostly lucid, it was as good a time as any to discover what there was about this place and get the questions out of the way. "Where to first?"
