Tony wanted to scream at Mason to just shut his big mouth for a second and think about someone other than himself for a second. Instead, he figuratively bit his tongue and ignored the other guy's attitude. This was why he preferred to do things by himself and not cross paths with his brother, or anyone else for that matter.
He considered Mason's offer to leave him there by himself. That would have been preferable but then he suggested getting Scott and Tony groaned. "Scott .. doesn't understand it any more than I do. He'd lock me up." He took a deep breath and looked up from his lap, squinting to look at Mason and filter out some of the light. "I didn't overstretch in there. My ... powers and stuff ... they don't work in the hologym."
Tony was clearly frustrated. He was trapped in a place that was supposed to help him learn about his powers and what he could do aside from harming people, but all he seemed to do was give himself migraines or hurt people. And his one thought about training with animals made him seem like he was a psychopath in training. "This shit fucking sucks," Tony muttered under his breath, closing his eyes again and letting his head drop back against the wall.
