Summary: The frog-lady and the snake-man meet.
Things had started to get a little too exciting around here for Elena. Early this morning, she'd found a tiny family of mice chewing into some of her vegan snacks and, though she herself was quite the pacifist, she found the idea of eating after them just a tad bit too gross for her. She managed to corral the critters using a small container and her hydrokinesis. Water could make an amazing barrier to tiny creatures if you used it just right. She ushered the animals outside and released them onto the grass, making sure to push them further down the path with a small ribbon of water. "Shoo," Elena spoke quietly as she whipped the ribbon toward the creatures one last time. "Vy zdes' ne zhivete." She flicked her wrist and the water dispersed, dropping from where it was fluttering in the air and raining down onto the grass and concrete. She didn't want to be cruel, but she couldn't have rodents eating all her food. The young woman stepped back inside, but wasn't sure if she felt like going back upstairs to her room. In general, Elena was okay with being alone. She enjoyed not having to interact with others, because she sometimes felt like those interactions were so forced. A mask came over her and she became the sweet hostess that she'd been trained to be for so many years. She smiled and became obliging to everything the person requested of her. 'No, you didn't do anything wrong. Oh, it was me. Please enjoy yourself and don't worry.' Eventually, she decided that she'd be better off heading back upstairs and retrieving her e-reader before she did anything else. That little electronic gadget gave her more than enough comfort to keep her from hiding in her room. It was like the shield that she hid behind to give her the confidence to interact with the other agents on a more acceptable level. Elena slid quietly upstairs and back into her room, retrieving her e-reader and then heading back toward the common area of her suite to set herself up to read for a while. |
