Most of the time, people didn't see all animals as a source of food, but not everywhere. "It's popular in France." It wasn't her home anymore, but she'd visited, while young, before she'd been part of Regiment, "It's a delicacy in most Asian countries too. Like veal. But I think it's a refined taste." In her opinion, animals didn't need to be slaughtered for human consumption, but obviously popular opinion wasn't that way inclined.
"Well, there was me going to have a salad, but now you've put that out there." She wasn't intending on it, she needed the calories and energy if she intended on keeping with the rest of her routine, which she did. So a burger and dressings would be more than adequate for that. A desert would be a treat if she chose to.
The more quiet and subdued of personalities seemed to be in short supply around several facilities, and while it hadn't always been Indigo's forte, she hadn't been a 'larger than life' personality either. Perhaps a little more social, especially with her team, maybe more chatty. But things changed with circumstance, and she wasn't in a hurry to force herself through a recovery. The cafeteria in the Washington facility was just as good as the Florida one, although the food was wildly different and she might need to ask for some spicy fare at some point, it wasn't lacking in choice either.
"Have you been with this facility long?" Her dislike for small talk didn't mean she wouldn't be open to casual conversation though.
